Mr. Miller,
On behalf of Suprema Meats I am extending an invitation to you to join us on a walk-through of Suprema's facility prior
to your decision in this matter. We would like the opportunity to show you what has been done and to explain why as
well as explaining the effect on the neighbors. We would also like to show you exactly-on site-what Suprema wants
to do and explain why it will benefit the entire area. We would like you to bring Mr. Minor with you. By continuous
emails and phone calls, as well as last night's meeting, you have been provided with the neighbor's views. We would
like to present our side of the story in an atmosphere devoid of the giggling and argument witnessed last night.
Let's talk further about scheduling the meeting.

RE: Weekly complaint log

Mario,
See attached Complaint Log template as requested.
Bill Quesada
Zoning Inspection Supervisor
238-6345
Mr. Chandell,
Wishing you all had a good City Council meeting, I proceed to do my part.
This week we only had one report worthy problem, a driver from KLG Trucking was parked here when
Michael came in around 3:30 am, he came in between .11 :00 pm and 3:30 am, he said he wasn't sure
what time he came in, but we still went through all the procedures and had him call his supervisor in
order to be unloaded. Also, there were two trucks that came in north on Lowell, and we are trying to
make everyone aware that the only way we want them to come in is exiting on Powell St, from Hwy
80, east on Powell then south on Lowell, so I did include this in the Complaint log that I am sending
you.
This week Bill Quesada suggested that it might be helpful if in the driver sign in log we could include
the arrival and departure time, we started doing it in the actual sign in log, but now we have a new
log, so I am attaching a copy of the revised sheet, I am also attaching a copy of the directions we are
giving the driver to leave Suprema and get back to the freeway, I am still working on that one, Michael
asked if I could include a map, so I will happen soon, other that, you will be receiving the regular stuff,
Driver sign in log, complaint logs and signed instructions from the drivers_,
Bill Quesada, in one of your emails, you mentioned you had a complaint log format, I would
appreciate if you can send it to me, I think it might be better than what we have, and thanks for the
input.
Any questions ... you know where I am. Thank you.

Hi Greg.
It was nice meeting you at the Suprema Meat Company public meeting last week. You said that I could e-mail
you pictures of trucks traveling down our street.
Tonight, April 27, at approximately 7:58 PM, a refrigerated semi-truck drove west from Adeline Street on
Aileen to Lowell Street. A photograph is attached. It turned right on Lowell and is currently parked on Lowell
Street between Aileen and 57th Street. The reefer has been running since then. We can hear the reefer in our
living room on Aileen Street, and we can feel the vibrations. Our property is in a residential zone, not the HBX
zone.
My husband and I stepped out around 8:30 PM to photograph the truck on Lowell Street and take a sound
reading. My husband measured 77 dB at the source using a handheld sound meter, which means that as of 10
PM this evening, it will be in violation of OMC 17.120.050(1) (quoted below).
We spoke with the truck driver. He told us the following:
- According to federal law, he can't move the truck for 10 hours because he's reached his legal limit of drive
time.
- He also can't turn off the reefer because he has meat in the back. He intends to run the reefer all night.
- He has an appointment to deliver the meat tomorrow morning to Suprema Meat Company.
- He would prefer to be parked elsewhere, but he was not instructed by his company to go elsewhere for the
night.
I'm attaching a photo of the truck parked on Lowell Street, which we took after our conversation with the driver.
Please confirm that you received the photos. Thank you.

than the noise level standards set forth in this section. Between the hours of ten (10) p.m. and seven (7) a.m., a mobile

Hi Greg.
It was nice meeting you at the Suprema Meat Company public meeting last week.
You said that I could e-mail you pictures of trucks traveling down our street.
Tonight, April 27, at approximately 7:58 PM, a refrigerated semi-truck drove west
from Adeline Street on Aileen to Lowell Street. A photograph is attached. It
turned right on Lowell and is currently parked on Lowell Street between Aileen
and 57th Street. The reefer has been running since then. We can hear the reefer in
our living room on Aileen Street, and we can feel the vibrations. Our property is
in a residential zone, not the HBX zone.
My husband and I stepped out around 8:30 PM to photograph the truck on Lowell
Street and take a sound reading. My husband measured 77 dB at the source using
a handheld sound meter, which means that as of 10 PM this evening, it will be in
violation of OMC 17.120.050(1) (quoted below).
We spoke with the truck driver. He told us the following:
- According to federal law, he can't move the truck for 10 hours because he's
reached his legal limit of drive time.
- He also can't turn off the reefer because he has meat in the back. He intends to
run the reefer all night.
