FROM YOUR PASTOR

Mike Northcutt - ebc@eastmont.org

Never volunteer for anything! Those who
served in the military (especially during war) have
heard this advice often. However, we all know that
a church could not function that way. Eastmont is
filled with so many servants, I cant keep up with
all that you do. Be assured that God knows your
unselfish ministry. Nothing is unnoticed by Him.
Jesus said Even a cup of water given in my name
will be rewarded.

The journey with Christ contains more than
enough joy. To share that journey with believers like
you, is even richer. Im glad God placed me here
with servants like you. I like to think I work hard
here, but I realize this church has done more for me
than I could ever do in return. Paul describes his
friend Onesiphorus as one who refreshes his spirit.
(2 Timothy 1:10) Thanks for consistently being a
breath of fresh air to one another.

Like most growing and healthy churches
we have parking issues. We try to provide enough
handicap parking but there never seems to be
enough. If you are able, try to leave entrance level
parking for those who need it most. Thanks for
showing Christian courtesy.

When you pray, God may be working in
ways you do not understand or see. While you are
reading this, the earth is spinning at over 1000 miles
per hour? In addition, we are moving at 66,000 mph
around the sun. Do you feel anything? Just so God
is moving in your life and answering your prayer,
even if you cant perceive what He is doing, He is
active and in control. Trust Him!

The Spirit of God has been so evident in our
worship services lately. God continues to bless us
with guests, new members, and decisions for Christ.
My heart was stirred to look and see so many at
the altar praying. Thanks for listening to the Holy
Spirits voice.
