Cadangan Jawapan
The temperature of a gas affects its volume //
The volume of a gas depends on its temperature
The higher the temperature of a gas, the bigger the volume of the gas
To investigate the relationship between the temperature of a gas and its volume
Manipulated variable
: temperature
Responding variable
: volume // length of air column
Constant variable
: mass // pressure
Glass tube, ruler, beaker, thermometer, tripod stand, wire gauze, bunsen burner,
water, ice, sulphuric acid
Labelled diagram showing set up of apparatus that will function

(v) 1. The water is heated slowly until it reaches a temperature of = 20 oC

2. The length of the air column, L, is taken and recorded.
3. Steps 1 and 2 are repeated for temperatures of 30 oC, 40 oC, 50 oC, 60 oC

The number of turns of wire in the secondary coil affects the output voltage
The greater the number of turns of wire in the secondary coil, the greater the
output voltage
To investigate the relationship between number of turns of wire in the
secondary coil and the output voltage

RV : output voltage, V
CV : number of turns of wire in the primary coil
