Set Induction:
a. Make a buzzing sound.
b. Show the picture of a bee. (Appendix 1 )
c. Pupils make the buzzing sound.

Step 1:
a. Introduce the phoneme /z/ by showing the action.
Trace z in the air and say /z/.
b. Demonstrate how to sound it out.
When you make the sound /z/ your
teeth are together.
Your tongue is near the front of your mouth
and behind your teeth.
You push air through your teeth and it makes
a buzzing sound.
c. Pupils say /z/ is for z.
