Test 3
Life Sciences 297 words

(Life Sciences Pharmaceutical)

Hemoglobina Total (tHb_2), Reactivo Aglutinador A1c (A1c R1) y Anticuerpo A1c (A1c R2).

Test 4
Energy & Utilities 317 words

(Energy & Utilities Alternative Energies)

General Description

The AeroTeck 2.0 MW wind turbine is a pitch regulated upwind turbine with active yaw and a three-blade rotor.
The AeroTeck 2.0 MW turbine has a rotor diameter of 80 m with a generator rated at 2.0 MW. The wind turbine
is able to operate the rotor at variable speed (RPM), helping to maintain the output at or near rated power.

1.1 Rotor
The AeroTeck 2.0 MW is equipped with a 80 meter rotor consisting of three blades and the hub. Based on the
prevailing wind conditions, the blades are continuously positioned to help optimise the pitch angle.

1.2 Pitch System

The energy input from the wind to the turbine is adjusted by pitching the blades according to the control
strategy. The pitch system also works as the primary brake system by pitching the blades out of the wind. This
causes the rotor to idle.
Double row 4-point contact ball bearings are used to connect the blades to the hub. The pitch system relies on
hydraulics and uses a cylinder to pitch each blade. Hydraulic power is supplied to the cylinder from the
hydraulic power unit in the nacelle through the main gearbox and the main shaft via a rotating transfer.
Hydraulic accumulators inside the rotor hub ensure sufficient power to pitch the turbine in case of failure.

1.3 Gearbox
The main gearbox transmits torque and revolutions from the rotor to the generator.
The main gearbox consists of a planetary stage combined with a two-stage parallel gearbox, torque arms and
vibration dampers.
Torque is transmitted from the high-speed shaft to the generator via a flexible composite coupling, located
behind the disc brake. The disc brake is mounted directly on the high-speed shaft.

1.4 Generator Bearings

The bearings are greased and grease is supplied continuously from an automatic lubrication unit when the
nacelle temperature is above -10C. The yearly grease flow is approximately 2400 cm.

Manufacturing 387 words

(Manufacturing - Industrial Machinery)

Hot fill: for acid products filled at temperatures above 85C

It may be necessary to maintain these packs at high temperature for a short time prior to cooling for such
products. It is normal practice for cans to be inverted after seaming to ensure correct heat processing, and this
may be carried out in a water bath or spray / tunnel pasteuriser without overpressure.
To reduce risk of damage to the foil during pasteurisation, the E-Z-Peel end should ideally be seamed as
fixed end. Note that foil doming is not controlled by overpressure, therefore time in the heating zone should be
kept to a minimum.

Pasteurisation: for acid products filled at temperatures below 85C

Packs must be heated to temperatures typically between 90-100C prior to cooling for such products, and this
may be carried out in a water bath or spray / tunnel pasteuriser without overpressure.

Overpressure Sterilisation: for all low acid products

Sterilisation cycles must be designed such that foil peeling and excessive stretching of the foil during
sterilisation is avoided.
Air overpressure required is typically 1-2 bar greater than steam pressure for the sterilisation temperature in
question, for example:

for sterilisation at 121C typical total pressure = between 2.0-3.0 bar

for sterilisation at 130C typical total pressure = between 2.7-3.7 bar.

For each category of product, the overpressure profile should be determined by trial using pressure
measurement probes to establish the level of differential pressure experienced.
Packs with high oil content in the liquid phase may require a lower overpressure cycle than those having an
aqueous liquid phase.
The actual total sterilisation pressure, its profiled increase during the come-up phase and profiled reduction
during cooling, are related to expansion of the foil diaphragm. The pressure profile of the retort should be
defined by means of trials to ensure that the pressure differential across the foil is minimised.

Revision No. 0, Version 1.0 (kit 1) 11/08/10

Pressure differentials (internal can pressure minus retort / external pressure) should preferably be in the range
0.3 bar to 0 bar at all times, but especially during come up and sterilisation.
Excessive external pressure may cause over-dishing/ stretching or other deformation of the foil which could
lead to foil rupture / implosion, or a distorted appearance of the foil after sterilisation. Packs with low fill weights
or large headspace volume are most susceptible to this problem.

Test 8
Finance 357 words

(Finance - Equity Markets)

UK Equities Supply & Demand Fundamentals Remain Buoyant

Following a marked increase in M&A and equity issuance this year, in parallel with continued
solid dividend growth and plenty of share buybacks, we look again at the UK market liquidity
outlook
In essence, equities demand is based upon buybacks, dividends and M&A, while supply is
generated from new equity issuance and domestic institutional equity flows.
Pension funds selling 4 billion of UK stock each quarter.
The principal supplier of equities to the marketplace in recent years has been the UK pension
funds.
Despite pension funds having been net sellers every year since 1995, the selling pace has
quickened in the last couple of years with an average quarterly outflow now of around 4 billion
a situation that we believe is likely to continue.
However, we our belief is that long-term insurance companies wont turn out to be significant net
sellers of equities from here.
Gross equity issuance rising sharply, but eclipsed by buybacks.
The other principal equity supply source is issuance.
2Q06 saw the greatest amount of equity issuance in the last three years, even though the
percentage (15%) of companies overall fund raising still remains modest.
In contrast, net of buybacks, the situation looks very different: The last time we saw positive net
equity issuance was way back in 2Q04.
2006 total cash return yield set to be more than 5%.
The readiness of companies to buy back their own stock over the past few years has had a
noticeable impact on UK equities demand.
We calculate that in 2003 UK companies spent in the region of 7 billion buying back their own
stock; however, we our (conservative) forecast now is that this figure will hit 30 billion this year.
With our top-down forecast of 8% dividend growth, our view is that UK companies could return
around 75 billion of cash to shareholders in total this year, equivalent to an overall yield of
5.2%.
2006 M&A led by private equity rather than corporates.
The most significant swing factor in establishing the net demand/supply for equities is M&A, and
this has been rising over the last three years.

Test 9
Electronics 340 words

(Electronics Semiconductors)

The H854/65 is a single-chip microcontroller, which is available in low cost packages, and is designed around a high performance
processor architecture that executes instructions in two to four clocks, six times the rate of standard 80C51 devices. In order to reduce
component count, board space, and system cost, many system-level functions have been incorporated into the device.
Features
- Input multiplexed 8-bit ADC/single DAC output. Two analog comparators with selectable inputs and reference source.
- A 23-bit system timer that may also be used as real-time clock comprised of a 7-bit prescaler and a programmable and readable 16bit timer.
- Two 16-bit counter/timers. Timer 0 (and Timer 1 - P89LPC9171) may be configured to toggle a port output upon timer overflow or to
become a PWM output.
- Enhanced UART with a fractional baud rate generator, break detect, framing error detection, and automatic address detection; 400
kHz byte-wide I2C-bus communication port.
- SPI communication port (P89LPC9161).
- 2.4 V to 3.6 V VDD operating range. I/O pins are 5 V tolerant (may be pulled up or driven to 5.5 V).
- Enhanced low voltage (brownout) detect allows a controlled system shutdown when power fails.
- 16-pin TSSOP with 12 I/O pins minimum and up to 14 I/O pins while using on-chip oscillator and reset options (P89LPC9161/9171),
and 14-pin TSSOP packages with 10 I/O pins minimum and up to 12 I/O pins while using on-chip oscillator and reset options
(P89LPC9151).
Additional features
- A high performance 80C51 CPU provides instruction cycle times of 111 ns to 222 ns for all instructions except multiply and divide
when executing at 18 MHz. This is six times the performance of the standard 80C51 running at the same clock frequency. A lower clock
frequency for the same performance means power savings and reduced EMI.
- In-Application Programming (IAP-Lite) and byte erase allows code memory to be used for non-volatile data storage.
- Serial flash In-Circuit Programming (ICP) allows simple production coding using commercial EPROM programmers. Flash security
bits prevent reading of sensitive application programs.

to delete them both.

The closing tag of a tag

pair can be positioned
before its opening
counterpart.

Why would you run a QA

Check?

To verify that the

translation files can be
reintegrated into the
original format without
problems.

To analyse your translation

files against the TM and
verify that the project
manager has raised the
P.O. for the correct word
count.

To automatically check your

translations for inconsistent
use of terminology,
grammatical errors,
inconsistent translations,
punctuation and formatting
issues.

When would you create an

alignment?

If you have previously

translated material
available, an alignment
allows you to create a
Translation Memory from
the translations.

You create an alignment in

order to merge the content
of multiple TMs into one
Translation Memory.

An alignment allows you to

use multiple termbases
during translation.
