Shunsuke Ito is a Managing Director and the Japan representative of the Global Risk and
Investigations Practice of FTI Consulting, he is based in Tokyo. Mr. Ito specializes in conducting
complex investigative assignments involving fraud, corruption, business intelligence and due
diligence investigations, brand integrity and other risk consulting services.
Mr. Ito is responsible for our business development and marketing activities in Japan. He
supports numerous major Japanese corporations across a wide range of industries such as
conglomerates, trading businesses, financial services including securities, private equity
investments and insurance, information communication technology, electronics, pharmaceuticals,
chemicals, logistics and various manufacturing businesses, by providing both preventative and
reactive risk consulting services for their overseas business expansion plans.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Ito spent four years in Hitachi Ltd as a member of the human
resources department. He was responsible for providing consulting and support services to
management in relation to the company's human resource strategy, particularly in developing and
operating personnel evaluation systems and employee education systems.
Mr. Ito received a Master of Arts in International Relations from Middlesex University. Prior to this,
Mr. Ito had been awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Waseda University in
Tokyo.
Mr. Ito is fluent in Japanese and English.
