Local management
The Flexi Multiradio BTS local management port is used for communicating with FI
FA locally. The Flexi
Multiradio BTS LMP port is an Ethernet-based interface.
FlexiHub Manager communicates with FIFA using an IP-based protocol. When connect
ing locally, the IP
address of the PC must be manually configured to the same subnet as FIFA managem
ent port. The user
must have appropriate Windows access rights to configure the PC s IP address setti
ngs.
of the hop is also operating. Configure the settings and then cancel the wizard
if this is
the case.
Enter the Radio Interface Properties and click Next.
Enter the Radio Interface Properties according to the network plan.
Note that Unit Name, Installer and Notes are mandatory fields.
When commissioning a new hop, the same temporary hop ID must be entered in the
Hop ID field at both ends of the hop. This will be replaced with a permanent hop
ID once
the commissioning has been completed.
In manual commissioning, select the channel to be used.
In autosearch commissioning, select the channels that may be used. The MetroHopp
er
units will choose one of the channels from the list automatically.

Configuration Backup
Flexi Hub Manager -> Tools -> Configuration Backup
The FlexiHopper (Plus) outdoor unit, starting from releases FH 3.3.4, FH 5.2.4,
FH 6.6 and FHP 2.6 and
MetroHopper, starting from release 4.0 as well as FIFA support configuration bac
kup. This feature makes it
possible to create a backup copy of important unit configurations to other conne
cted units. That information
can be restored to recover from error situations or
to quickly commission a unit which has been replaced. Backups can be made automa
tically or manually with
FlexiHub Manager.
The following backup cases are possible:
. Outdoor unit settings are backed up to the indoor unit.
. Indoor unit settings are backed up to all outdoor units.
Press Backup All Units
Note:
Configuration backup is used to backup the most important
configuration settings for each unit. These settings are stored
in other parts of the network element, so that when one unit is
replaced its settings can be retrieved from the other units. For
example, the settings for a FlexiHopper outdoor unit can be
backed up to the ndoor unit. When this unit is replaced its
settings can be retrieved and used to configure the
replacement unit.
!Caution!
If automatic backup is enabled when replacing a unit, you will lose the
backup after connecting the unit to the indoor unit.
Always disable automatic backup before replacing a unit.

Commissioning DCN
Steps
1 Select the Mode, Address and Mask for PPP0 over Flexbus 1 and PPP1 over
Flexbus 2. There are four modes available: Hoplan (numbered), AuxFast (numbered)
,
Hoplan (unnumbered) and AuxFast (unnumbered).
Figure 35 IP Network Extensions
Note !!:
PPP data is carried inside radio frame overhead data channels. These channels ar
e called HopLAN and
AuxFast. AuxFast interface capacity is 64 - 512 kbits/s depending on the radio l
ink capacity. HopLAN data
channe capacity is 7 - 80 kbits/s depending on the radio links' capacity.
AuxFast is a synchronous channel over the radio path. User capacity is 64 kbit/s
.
There are three AF bytes reserved in the frame,
AuxFast capacity over the radio path is thus 160 kbit/s.
The capacity is needed for the data, justification control and byte synchronizat
ion (octet information) transfer.
HopLan (HL) bits are used only as internal communication channel between equipme
nts.
In FIU19/RATS/MICE configuration, this channel is used between two OUs and messa
ge is forwarded in OUs
to/from FECLAN through processor. The capacity of the channel is n x 4 kbit/s, n
= 2, 4, 8, 16 (depending on
main signal capacity).
2 If Hoplan (numbered) or AuxFast (numbered) is selected, an IP address is neede
d
to be specified. For example, in Figure 28, 100.0.0.3 is configured. If Hoplan
(unnumbered) or AuxFast (unnumbered) is selected, the IP address and Mask
fields are disabled and need to be configured in IP tab. For example, 12.12.12.1
2

Software download does not cause a traffic interruption, but it slows down the m
anagement connection to the
node. Traffic may be cut when new software is activated if the respective unit i
s reset.
The activation can take several minutes.
