urthermore,
automation
and alarm
systems of
machines are
always
helpful in
detectingearl
y stage faults;
however, it is
a known fact
that human
vigilance is
more capable
of
detectingand
interpreting
errors more
accurately.
When on
engine room
round, all
machines on
all levelsmust
be examined
for proper
operation. M
oreover,
seafarers
must also
make sure to
note findingsi
n the log
book for
future
reference.
They also
considered

Shop, Marine
Power
Plant,Maritim
e Law and
Electro
Technology
with much
relevance to
their job
placement

amendments.
Knowledge
gives a great
boost to
engineers
confidence
level and also
results
inmore
accurate job
decisions.
Engine room
operation
also requires
information
from
other domain
s of
engineering
such as
mechanical,
hydraulic,
pneumatic,
electrical and
electronicsyst
ems,
refrigeration
etc. Knowing
these
fundamentals
makes an en
gineers
foundation
stronger
[6].

The proposed
program
aimed to
enhance the
Basic Safety
Training and
Engine/Deck
Watch
keeping
courses of the
students
through
strengthening
the delivery
of instruction
and providing
quality stude
nt services. St
udents must a
lso be involv
ed in extensiv
e seminars an
dworkshops
on
developing
personality
and
confidence,
enhancing
communicati
on skills
throughadopt
ing Dyned
Software or
any English
software as a
tool/intervent
ion as well as
strengthening
their spiritual
and moral
attributes.

curriculum
developers
were also
encouraged

the research

the student

the program

students to

more often in
the

projects of

them to join
the research

presentation
of the
university
and participat
e in the
seminars
being
conducted by
the Research

the students

must be

search job
opportunities
using the
internet and

bases.
Apprenticesh

enhance the
performance
of maritime
students in
MSAP and
other examin
ations for
their future
employment

LIMA and
GE faculty

the students
before

Mock Exam
and actual
examination.
Sustaining
and
enhancing the
employability
rating of the
graduates
through
conducting pr

and
interview,
attending job

also help the
studentsfind
their way
going to the
top of the
corporate
ladder by
strengthening
their
foundation
duringcollege
.
