Actions for Moodle Re-activation

You would have received an email which would have included a token allowing you
to create your own passwords. All students UCL accounts need to be activated as
soon as possible as all of their IOE email accounts have been migrated to UCL email.
TheUCL account token would have been emailed to you directly by the UCL student
support team roughly 2 weeks after you have enrolled with us. Please use the
details below (email sender and subject line to trace the email in the inbox of your
registered personal email address (not your IOE one), ensure you also check your
junk folder. An example of the email is posted at the bottom of this email.
Email origin: autoreplyportico-services@ucl.ac.uk
Email subject Line: UCL user ID and password information.
You should also register your new password with UAS (User Authentication Service)
which allows you to reset your password yourself should they need it.
There is also an option that allows users to renew their password (you need to know
your password for this) if it has expired in the last seven days.
If you have not received an email from UCL, you can go to stage 1 (below) and use
the link provided to create your own token to activate your account.

Subject: UCL user ID and password information
Dear <<REMOVED>>
Please see below instructions for obtaining your user id and password to access
your UCL email.
STAGE 1.
The first thing you need to do is obtain your UCL userid (your unique UCL user code)
and set a password. To do this, go to our Online User Registration service at:
https://www.ucl.ac.uk/our/homePage.do
You will be asked to provide some details, including your Student Number
(<<STUDENT NUMBER REMOVED>>), to match you with your student record.
Once this is done, you will be presented with your UCL userid and emailed a token
(in the form of a reference number) with further instructions. This token is used in
Stage 2 before you set your password.

STAGE 2.
Follow the link provided in the email and enter your UCL userid and the token. You
will be asked to accept UCL's Computing Regulations and to set a password for your
UCL userid. This UCL userid will remain with you during your time at UCL. You will
be asked to change your password at regular intervals.
We strongly advise you to register for the User Authentication Service so that you
can reset and obtain a new password without having to contact the ISD Service
Desk.
