General
Description
The steering system allows the driver to freely change
the vehicle's direction of travel. The steering force
applied to the steering wheel is transmitted to the
knuckle arm via the steering shaft, steering gear, pitman
arm, and the drag link so as to steer the vehicle.

Steering Linkage
1. Drag Link Assembly
The drag link connects the pitman arm at the steering
gear end to the knuckle arm at the front wheel so as
to transmit the movement of pitman arm to the
knuckle arm. A coil spring is used in the ball joints
installed at the end portion of drag link for buffering
the vibration of the front wheels.

If no steering torque is applied from the steering
wheel, the input shaft stays in neutral. In this
condition, oil goes through the gap between the input
shaft and sleeve holes so that the oil fed under
pressure of the oil pump returns to the oil tank
withoutflowing to the left and right cylinder chambers.
