1 What can you remember/do you know about John Lennon? Talk to your partner and compare
what you know.
2 You are going to find out some information about a John Lennon museum in Japan. Type in:
www.taisei.co.jp/museum/index_e.html. When the page appears, click on To Visit in
the bar at the top of the page to find the following information:
a When is the museum open?
b Are there any days that the museum is closed?
c How much is the admission for an adult?
d How long does it take to walk to the museum from the nearest train stations?
e Click on the train Route Map and check what is the best way to get to the museum from
Haneda Airport and Narita Airport. Write the names of the stations you need to pass
through to get to the nearest train station to the museum from each airport:

g How long is the car park open?


3 Select Museum Guide from the bar at the top of the page. Click on hhMAP to answer the
following questions:
a Where can you find the telephone?
b Where are the toilets?
c Where can you leave your umbrella?
d Whats the first zone on the 4th floor?
e Is there another room to see after the final room on the 5th floor?
4 Click on JLM News. Look at the events for this year. Would you be interested in seeing any of
these events? Which ones?

Aim: For students to find information in English about the John Lennon museum in Japan. This
worksheet follows on from the theme of the module and can be done at the end of the module.
Time: Approximately 45 minutes.
Materials: Photocopies of the worksheet for each student.
1 Make sure students are familiar with 1st floor, 2nd floor etc. Students talk to their partners and
discuss what they can remember from Module 15 or know about John Lennon.
2 Check that students have found the correct page and have clicked on To Visit to answer the
questions.

How long does it take to walk to the museum from the nearest train stations?
Approx. 3 minutes walk from Saitama Shin-toshin Station. Approx. 7 minutes walk
from Kita-yono Station
e From Haneda: Hamamatsu-cho, Ueno, Saitama Shin-toshin Station
From Narita: Nippori, Akabane, Saitama Shin-toshin Station
or

f How much does it cost to park your car for an hour in the underground car park? 400 yen

3 Students select Museum Guide from the bar at the top of the page and click on hhMAP to
find the answers to the questions:

4 Students click on JLM News and look at the events for this year and decide if they would be
interested in seeing any of these events. Students can tell their partners which events they
might be interested in.
