Each year, the officers from each committee develop the country matrix, which is a

compilation of essential data from all countries in a committee. The officers build this matrix
in the hopes that you will be able to use it to find countries with similar positions or ideas,
further enhancing debate and giving you a chance to work with a country you may not have
expected to align with during your time in conference.
The following are brief explanations of the information contained in this binder:
Position on Human Trafficking: This index describes both the modern slavery situation,
the countrys role in the international human trafficking trade, and any policies that
the country,
the country is attempting to improve its trafficking situation.
Position on Health care: This index explains the role and position of the country in
terms of health care (accessibility and education), as well as any policies
the country is implementing to improve its health care situation, including
financial health care output.
Position on Urban Planning: This index describes the conditions of the urban center in the
country, as well as the countrys stance on renewable energy and urban
sustainability.

GDP Per Capita/Rank: This index is a measure of the Gross Domestic Product (the sum of
the value of all goods produced in an economy in a given year) per person in the
country. Each country is ranked by its GDP per capita, 1 being the highest
GDP/capita.
Human Trafficking tier ranking : This index measures the ranking of each country in
terms of the prominence of trafficking and the amount of people trafficked each year
by country. This tier ranking is based on a 2014 survey conducted by the US
department of State under John "Kerry. Factors such as trafficking population, owners
of modern slaves, and government intervention all shape the tier ranking.
WHO World Healthcare System Ranking: This ranking, conducted by the World Health
Organization, ranks registered countries overall based on healthcare system (two-tier
or universal, etc.), accessibility to healthcare, available health education for citizens,
and the quality of life for the peopole of a country. This comes from a 2013 ranking
done by the WHO.

Rate of Urbanization: The Rate of Urbanization by country is a percentage that focuses

on the countries dependence, economic and otherwise, on its urban centers as the
country develops. Rate of Urbanization takes into account the rate at which people,
companies, commerce, education, and other mediums shift toward cities.

If a countrys indicator says N/A, it means that there was no data available for that
country on the index.
