Professional and Personal Goals for the Internship Year:

I am very excited and eager for my Internship Year. I have
confidence that this experience will help prepare me as a future teacher with
classroom management skills, implementing teaching instructional plans and
how to perform numerous teacher responsibilities. I am most interested in
working with elementary students, and more specifically, with grades first
through third. As a future teacher my main interest is in Language Arts.
However, one of my goals for my Internship year is to become more
confident and comfortable in teaching all curriculum content.
I have desired to be an elementary teacher from early on. I am
outgoing, and I enjoy connecting with children both as the upfront instructor,
as well as on a more personal level. I feel confident and comfortable in front
of a classroom and engaging students. I also have strengths with interacting
with parents. I have a strong work ethic and am very responsible, which I
believe are two very important strengths of teachers. I am also very creative
and will bring creativity to not only the classroom environment, but also to
teaching methods and activities. I also have a strong interest in drama and
will incorporate this in the classroom.
