Leader: Let us pray to the Lord together:
All: O Eternal Creator we ask that in this time of worship and praise you enter
into this sacred space. Fill this room with your holy presence. Fill our hearts
with hope. Fill our minds with refreshed, uplifted thoughts. Fill our spirits with
revived faith. O God our hope in ages past and our hope in all that is to come, in
this time of worship be glorified today.

Leader: We have just sung together this verse of a great hymn of faith. "Lead On, O King
Eternal, we follow, not with fears, for gladness breaks like morning where're thy face
appears!"
People: We pray that at University Circle United Methodist Church this will always be
a description of us as a congregation. It is our prayer that we are and always will
be, a joy-filled and glad people of faith.
Leader: As a joy-filled people let us affirm what we believe:
All: We are not alone, we live in God's world. We believe in God: who has created and
is creating, who has come in Jesus, the Word made flesh, to reconcile and make
new, who works in us and others by the Spirit.
We trust in God. We are called to be the church: to celebrate God's presence, to

Sunday Morning Education and Spiritual Formation Opportunities

• "Pictionary with the Lectionary" – an adult class led by Dr. Kenneth W. Chalker meets in the
Yoder Room on the Main Floor. It includes a lively discussion of the morning's selected Bible
passages.
• Young Adult Bible Study led by Julia Bingman is held in the Library, across the hall from the
sanctuary.

• College-Age Bible Study led by Jeff Day and Jennifer Bier meets in the left-side classroom
above the Chapel. (Take stairway to your left before entering the chapel on the main floor.)
10:00 am
• Young Adult Bible Study led by Julia Bingman is held in the Library, across the hall from the
sanctuary.
11:00 am
• Birth to 3-year-olds: Child care for infants and toddlers is provided from 10:45 a.m. until the
end of worship in the Nursery on the lower level.
• Children (Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade): Sunday School meets at 11:00 a.m. in the
Great Hall on the lower level.
• Confirmation Program (7th and 8th grade): "The QUAD" meets at 11:00 a.m. in the College-
Age Bible Study Room on the second floor (left-side room above the Chapel).
• Youth (9th through 12th grades) Youth Group meets at 11:00 a.m. in the Youth Room on the
second floor (right-side room above the Chapel).

World Day of Prayer is a worldwide ecumenical
movement of women who come together to
observe a common day of prayer each year.
Every year a different country serves as writer
of the WDP worship service and this year the
women of Camaroon invite participants to "Let
everything that has breath praise God." You
are invited to attend the World Day of Prayer
observance at 10:30am on March 5th at Mount
Zion Congregational Church, 10723 Magnolia

the Sunday morning worship service one or two

CDs and DVDs of each Sunday's worship
service are available in the church office
immediately following worship for a $3.00
donation. For an additional $1.50, you may also
have CDs and/or DVDs mailed by the church
staff.

note that on the back of today's Church

One-time Intergenerational Singing Group
Performance – Our Singing Children invite
you to be part of an intergenerational singing
group called "Singing Children + Friends"
which will sing in worship on April 18th.
This group will be comprised of parents,
grandparents and any would-be friends of all
ages from our congregation. On April 18th the
singers will perform a fun-to-sing hymn called
"Life's Railway to Heaven." Rehearsals are 10-
10:15am on Sundays – March 7, 14, 21 and
April 11 and 18 in the Chapel. Please contact

United Methodist Women (UMW) fund raiser.
UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on
Relief) Equal Exchange Coffee Project items
are also available through the UMW, including
organic coffees, teas and cocoas. Look for the
UMW cart in the hallway outside the sanctuary.
