To test durability, the stock was subjected to 100,000 brutal

cycles with the recoil pad removed in a fixture exerting
20% more force than the most powerful 3½" magnum loads
available. Testing was conducted at temperature extremes
ranging from 150° F to -75° F. In the end, the ComforTech™
Synthetic stock looked and performed as well as it did when new!

The ComforTech™ stock is split diagonally from the heel of Minimum Stress

THE BENELLI SUPERNOVA EMBODIES A MODULAR DESIGN CONCEPT in a

pump-action shotgun. With the optional SteadyGrip™ stock, the SuperNova can
be transformed into a high-performance turkey gun or mount a fully-rifled slug
barrel for tack-driving accuracy on deer. There’s even a barrel with rifle sights
for home defense and a SuperNova Tactical fitted with a ghost-ring rear sight

IS A MODULAR concept pump-action
shotgun that can be quickly reconfigured with different special-purpose stocks to
be ready for any home defense or tactical situation. The ComforTech™ stock absorbs nearly 48% of
felt recoil to dampen the jolt of heavy buck shot loads. The tactical pistol grip stock turns the SuperNova

When there’s no compromise for accuracy
SIMPLICITY, STURDINESS AND INGENIOUS DESIGN are the distinguishing features of the patented Auto
Regulating Gas Operated (A.R.G.O), system — the mechanism that’s at the heart of the R1 rifle. The operating
system contains a short-stroke piston, which captures pressure to create sufficient force to operate the bolt,
and which also helps to absorb some of the recoil. Add to this unique and reliable operating system, the
recoil-dampening ability of optional recoil-pads of varying thicknesses for length-of-pull adjustments and much
of the sting of recoil removed from the R1.
Another unique feature of the R1 rifle is interchangeable barrels, meaning that one rifle can convert to any
caliber currently available from an ever-expanding selection of calibers from Benelli. Also included is a shim
kit, providing precise stock adjustments for drop and cast for a truly custom fit.

TOM KNAPP, recognized as the greatest exhibition shooter of modern times, appears at more than 140 live
shows a year in the United States and Europe, thrilling countless spectators with his seemingly impossible
feats with shotguns. Of course the shotguns that Tom shoots are Benellis.
The holder of two World Records for hand-thrown clay targets — 9 clays with a Benelli M1 Super 90 in
1993 and 8 clays with a Benelli Nova Pump in 2000, Tom set out to do it again. On October 20th, 2004,
he did the unbelievable, shooting 10 clay targets out of the air in 2.2 seconds with a Benelli M2 Field with
ComforTech™. Tom says that hard work and commitment are key elements to success, but added, “Without
the right equipment I could never do it. That’s why I shoot Benellis.”

fact it had never let Tom down. After Tom had presented his faithful Super 90 to the museum, he sat down to figure out just how many rounds he
had fired through that gun. With over 100 live shows per year, the total number of rounds put through the Benelli was over half a million. Well, it’s
a good thing Tom decided to retire that gun, because at that pace he might have worn it out… in another hundred years or so.

up on his family’s farm in northeast Arkansas he shot his gun handling skills through years of practice, and
