Program
Master of Arts Plan II Track: Professional Writing and Rhetoric. Collaborated with
rhetoric and writing and scientific and technical communication faculty to develop 33credit hour non-thesis option. Approved Spring 2008.
Courses
English 6040: Graduate Writing. Developed and taught course as part of the
Departments online Master of Arts program. The course included extended attention
to scholarly discussions on and practice developing effective academic writing. Fall
2015.
English 6200: Teaching Writing. Developed and taught course as part of the
Departments online Master of Arts program. The course provided a survey of lead
approaches to teaching writing for which students completed a series of empirical and
theoretical researched projects. Summer 2014.
English 7800: Community Literacy. Developed and taught Rhetoric and Writing
doctoral seminar designed to provide students with an overview of community literacy
scholarship and introduce through hands-on projects community-based research.
(Significant service-learning component.) Spring 2013.
English 6800: Teacher Research. Developed and taught Rhetoric and Writing special
topics course for online delivery designed to introduce students to teacher research
scholarship and research practices through hands-on projects. Summer 2011.
English 7800: Feminist Writing Research and Pedagogy. Designed and taught special
topics seminar with an emphasis on applying principles of feminist writing and
