Monitor Modification
Before fitting the new PC, it is necessary to replace the capacitor C216 in the Microvitec monitor, the
original is 3600pf (3N6 J1600) should be replaced with 3900pf (3N9) This will prevent the EHT from
becoming too high when the picture width is adjusted and damaging the line output transistor.

Software Install
Remove the original computer hard drive and copy contents to laptop.
*Note that some older Hard Drives are not able to be read using a IDE To USB Adapter. You will need
to use a computer with motherboard IDE.
Copy the following directories / folders (replacing current ones) to the USB Pen Drive.
C:\Bender
C:\V3
Install the computer. Usually mounted to Mounting Bracket or right hand side of panel.
The software, Part Programs etc will all be correct.
*Back-up the Machine Config from the CPU to the computer*

Known Issues
It has been found that there are issues with older software versions. Software versions prior to about
V1.11 will not function correctly with the new PC as you cannot run them in medium resolution(-m). In
this case you will have to upgrade the software on the CPU also. Unfortunately this can cause other
issues, specially on special machines/options. If newer software is installed it is vital that you fully test
the machine.
Newer version of software also look for I/O Board C and ReactionSlide Interlock Input (C8) to be high
(24V)

Touch Screen Issues

If the touch screen is slightly out of alignment, get worse from left to right and will not calibrate then
you must re-install the touch software using the procedure below Remove current touch software install by deleting the following three lines from the
autoexec.bat
C:\TOUCH\NOMOUSE
C:\TOUCH\ELODEV 2210,2,9600 -w320 -C3686,304,752,3296,1,255
C:\TOUCH\MONMOUSE
Now run the install program located in the 'TouchV2' folder
Follow the instructions (install on Com2, add to Autoexec.bat and Calibrate)
Edit the autoexec.bat once again. At the bottom of the Autoexec.bat there will be 3
lines similar to the 3 you deleted. Move these three lines up to lines 9, 10 & 11
(keeping them in order)
The -w320 listed on the ELODEV line may not be required, this was put in on the
early computers (SlimPro) to stop double presses / bounce when the screen was
touched.
