Exercises:
- The Trip Signal of ABB-Device (active without voltage)
shall be displayed in feeder OF on LED 14
- All Siprotec devices shall be synchronized with the time of

Importing IEC61850 devices from other manufacturers

Power Automation

Progress. Its that simple.

With the new DIGSI 4, IEC61850-compliant devices with

a different functionality and from other manufacturers
can be integrated into a switchgear.
For that, import the device description of the IED (icd file)
from the file system.
At first you can check, if the ICD-file is valid, do it with
SCL-inspector as an included feature or use the webbased validator:
http://scl-validator.erlm.siemens.de/validator/upload.html

Then add the device as a user to the station - in the

same way as with SIPROTEC 4 devices.

(Initialization)

At the end, transmit each changed parameter set into the device
and
1.) check the time synchronization in all SIPROTEC devices
by changing the time of the SNTP-server
2.) check the LED-on at SIPROTEC device IED_C
