Recognition Activity
Objective of the activity:
To know the course topics, making interaction with groupmates. To learn how to
use Web 2.0 tools, essential for the development of teaching material, and to share
it through the network.
Topics:
Technology and education - TEFL - Web 2.0 Tools - Resources - Strategies and
Methodologies to teach English as a Foreign Language.
Expected products:
All the group members will join info using Movenote. After they manage the tool,
each student must prepare a tutorial through Movenote. The tutorial should be about
using any of the following tools: Prezi, VoiceThread, Powtoon, Scribd, and ISSUU.
Activity development process:
Please read the description below which presents, step by step, the development process
of the activity:
1. Each student must introduce himself/herself in the appropriate activity forum, sharing
information with their peers, as well as the interest and goals he/she has towards the
course. Remember that you will hold all collaborative course work with your peers, so it is
important to have good communication skills with them, from the beginning.

3. Each student must choose one of the following tools and research about it. Every tool
can be chosen only by one member of the group. In the forum, each member must say
which tool was chosen by himself/herself and agree with each other to choose a different
tool:
Prezi
VoiceThread
Powtoon
Scribd
ISSUU
4. Each student should create a tutorial about the selected tool, through Movenote. For this,
you must prepare a slide presentation in Movenote. In the tutorial, the student must show
himself/herself explaining how to use the tool and that explanation must be accompanied
by some slides. It is necessary that the tutorial includes the video with the student speaking,
as well as audio and slides. The explanation must be completely spoken in English. Spanish
tutorials will not be taken into account for the activity.
5. The group should compile links or URLs of the tutorials created and recorded with
Movenote and deliver them within a Word document on the evaluation and monitoring
environment.
