The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business

you hire a Chicago GSB student as

an intern, you hire an intern who is uniquely prepared to
discover solutions and opportunities well before others
do. Chicago GSB students benefit from one of the most
rigorous business educations in the world. Our students
are adept at digging deeper, taking ideas further, and
knowing when to ask the hard questions. At Chicago GSB,
our students use analytical methods and conceptual tools
from numerous academic disciplines to solve complex
business problems. GSB students learn from some of the
best minds in business, gaining access to the newest business thought before it hits the marketplace and exposure
to theory before it becomes practice.
Chicago GSB students also possess critical interpersonal skills. LEAD, our experiential learning program,
focuses on developing skills such as presenting, coaching,
giving and receiving feedback, selling ideas, negotiating,
and influencing. All first-year full-time M.B.A. students
participate in LEAD.
When you put the elements together, its easy to see that
GSB students are prepared to hit the ground runningand
stay ahead. A Chicago GSB intern is one who can provide
valuable contributionsand a competitive advantageto
your company.

The Chicago GSB Curriculum

International Students

One of the hallmarks of Chicago GSB is our flexible

curriculum. Recognizing that each student is an individual
who comes here with skills in hand and plans in mind,
our flexible curriculum allows students to design a course
of study tailored to their interests, needs, and goals. This
also means our students are experienced at making critical
decisions; from day one at the GSB they are choosing
classes, professors, and educational direction. They are
making decisions that affect their futureand honing
invaluable decision-making skills that are essential to
daily business interactions.

International students are able to provide you with a global

perspective on the business issues you face. Most international students are attending the GSB on an F-1 or J-1 visa,
which means they can work for you during their internship
without any sponsorship from you. However, if you decide
you would like to offer the student a full-time position, she
or he may require an H-1B visa sponsorship from you.
