GEOLOGICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Reservoir: MulHstorey, bedload-dominated
uvial deposits.
Baes, barriers, and seals: Interuvial
mudstone with caliche.
Sandstone is very ne- to coarse-grained
subarkose and arkose.

Diagenesis driven mainly by pedogenic

processes.

Grain dissoluHon, quartz overgrowth,

illuvial clay coaHng, carbonate cement
inuence reservoir quality.
Reservoir porosity commonly >20%.
Permeability up to 3.8 Darcies.

Similar deposits are widespread

in Lower Cretaceous of Gulf of
Mexico region.

Process analog: Ganges River
