declared as endangered rainforest, existing level of groundwater and other records
concerning the environment. The researchers were also able to make use of other
forms instrument for gathering data such as the use of the cellular phones primarily for
communication, the use of electronic mails for sending files and data and the use of
computers for encoding storing information. Selected documents that were related to
the study were also taken from magazines and books in the library.
Procedures for Data Gathering
This research started as the researchers identify the problem and gradually
ascertain all the necessary data to be collected. From the moment that the nature of the
development was understood, the process of gathering information began from
identifying the location of the development to be made, through identifying the
locations profile such as the demography, economic status, government, health,
structures situated in the vicinity of the site, the topography of the site, the existing
wildlife, rainforest, the climate and etc.
After analyzing the site, the location of the structures to be developedwere also
determined. All the necessary studies were conducted at the same time, including the
standards for spaces, facilities and utilities and all other important provisions from the
National Building Code, the DENR guidelines, tourism guidelines, Asean guidelines,
Water Code of the Philippines, Fire Code of the Philippines, BP 344, and other related
agencies as well.
