Description
Mechanical Check Items:
Fans: Manually rotate shaft 2 turn. Do not force
Move inlet vane handle. Inlet vanes to be left in closed position. Check that blinds and protection
are in position, and that sealing plugs are tight. Check external surfaces and re-apply with
protective wax to unpainted static surfaces as required. Ensure that preservation labels are in
position.
Diesel engines: Check preservation oil levels and refill as required. Check suppliers preservation
program.
Heating and cooling coil: Check if internal preservation is intact. Replace/repair all surface
protecting plates. Report any damaged cooling fins. Check that blinds and sealing plugs are tight.
Hydraulic Power Pack: Check that all hydraulic lines and oil side of accumulators are filled with
hydraulic oil. Release all air. Check nitrogen pressure in the nitrogen system. Check internals for
moisture and if necessary, replace the VCI. Check instruments and local panels.
Recompression, re-injection, and pipeline gas compressors: Check that protection cover is in
place. Report any damages to casing, valves, piping/tubing, actuators, instruments, cabinets,
cases or applied external preservatives.
Recompression, re-injection, and pipeline gas compressors: The package shall be preserved in
accordance with Suppliers requirements.
Safety Check Items:
Check all hose, foam, and deluge cabinets for dirt and corrosion. Check that heating-elements are
connected. Protect top with plywood and the cabinet with aluminum glass fiber clothing. Protect
hoses inside equipment.
Piping Check Items:
Check and report that dust blind are fitted on nozzles, out from skid on single items of equipment
and on free pipe ends and ducts.
When pipes are hooked up to any equipment a galvanized sheet metal blind with ample size red
painted handle shall be inserted between the two flange faces.
All openings that have been beveled for welding shall be provided with closure designed to prevent
entrance of foreign materials and damage to the bevel.
Check that there is no corrosion on flange faces and hubs, protect with protective wax coating or
similar.
All flanged openings shall be provided with self adhesive flange face protector and if applicable
10mm plywood / metal closure and at least four full diameter bolts. For studded openings, all nuts
needed for the intended service shall be used for securing closures.
Area Related Check:
Check for physical damage and damage of preservation protection.
Note:
Ensure that shipping stops are fitted on relevant equipment prior to transfer of equipment from
Suppliers and Module Contractors.
