2. Safety instruction while working in WEC:

Before starting any work in WEC & Transformer Double pole yard fill
the work permit & get it approved from respective site-incharges.
Conduct & document tool box meeting before starting any work in WEC
& DP yard

Conditions While Ascending tower:

Only one person should ascend the tower at

a time. As soon as he reaches at each tower
platform, open the hatch, climb through and
reclose. The next person can start ascend,
after confirmation of first persons arrival at
Nacelle only.
Conditions While Descending tower:

Only one person should descend the tower at

a time. As soon as he reaches at each tower
platform, open the hatch, climb down
through and reclose. The next person can
start descend, after confirmation of first
persons arrival at tower outside only.
The closed hatch protects following
persons against parts falling down the
tower.
Conditions for more than one person To work
in Platform (i.e. Tower torqueing, Cable
crimping etc.,)

Only one person should climb the tower

segment at a time. As soon as he reaches at
tower platform, open the hatch, climb
through and reclose. The next person can
start climbing, after confirmation of first
persons arrival at tower platform.
Conditions to move one platform to another
platform while team working

Example: 03 persons in a team

First two persons should climb as per

above procedure without any material

carrying.
Now 3rd person can climb with
material carrying.
OR
02 persons should climb down up to
particular tower platform hatch
beneath and close the hatch.
Now one by one can climb up to next
tower segment.

Caution:
Dont place any tools/materials near
platform openings like hatch door,
mesh and throughout
circumference.Secure the tools &
tackles from free falling and keep it
accordingly.
