BTS 2000 is based on Object Oriented Structure with a very flexible and User Friendly Graphical User Interface based
programming.
Relay Replay , Virtual Test Set , Sequence of Event Recording (SOE), Data Profiler (DP) are some of the various
features that provide never-before features for ease of scheme off-line testing, development, commissioning, analysis
and feedback.
o The Relay Replay feature is much more powerful than the standard disturbance recorder functions as
they capture all the logic states internal to the relay during the captured event. This enables the operator to
replay a past event through the scheme step-by-step and also analyze the effect of different settings on the
operation of the relay.
o The Virtual Test Set feature provides the user to test the scheme in off-line mode for various possible input
conditions to check the behaviour of the relay under such conditions.
UNIQUE TECHNICAL FEATURES
o Auto Transfer BTS 2000 classifies external protective relay transfer initiation commands as Protective
Transfer initiation. By Auto Transfer, is meant the ability of BTS 2000 to self-detect a potential source failure
situation by a customizable algorithm involving any combination of voltage, frequency, df/dt elements. This
provides for faster pre-emptive transfer initiations for meeting process continuity needs.
o Islanded Transfer - Aartech has pioneered the concept of Islanded Transfer such that transfer between two
completely asynchronous sources (such as an Islanded Generator and the Grid) can be accomplished.
o Online / Offline Test Facility - Aartechs schemes have an integrated Online / Offline Test facility that
enables the system operator to conduct routine integrity tests on the system without conducting actual
transfers. This facility even ascertains the operation of the trip & close circuits for the respective breakers and
provides detailed feedback to the operator regarding the system healthiness.
o Breaker Operation Monitoring, Feedback and Backup Corrective Action BTS 2000 does
comprehensive breaker monitoring, including operation timings, status monitoring etc. Any breaker operation
failure during transfer (such as a permanent paralleling breaker trip failure / bus dead breaker close
failure) is quickly detected and intelligent backup corrective action is immediately initiated.
o Comprehensive Previous Transfer Log BTS 2000 provides detailed logs of bus status during the
previous transfer for operator review. This includes details such as Bus Voltage, Frequency, Phase Angle,
and Voltage Difference etc.
o ANSI C50.41 Compliant BTS 2000 provides real time monitoring as prescribed by ANSI C50.41 for
supervising bus transfer operations.
o Customization BTS 2000 provides for very powerful customization options to suit customer requirements,
which do not require any hardware modifications.
