Individual Case Study

Main Objective:

Assessing students' knowledge, understanding and critical analysis skills of HR cases.

General

This is an individual-based project.


Student will be given a case study topic where they are expected to examine multiple aspects of the case/scenario.
Students are expected to critically argue or review the case topic given in depth. This includes reference to any
relevant information, from multiple sources, in their progress towards report completion.
For information collection purpose, a visit to the actual business entities (e.g., corporate, companies), further
interviews, surveys, and other similar efforts are encouraged.

Report

Margins of 0.5" (for all top, bottom, right) and 1" (for left). Times New Roman font type, sized 10.
Maximum pages for report are 8 pages only (including cover, table of content and reference). Pages exceeding this
page limit will not be considered for assessment.
Referencing should follow APA style.

Students are free to decide on the content arrangements, but should be able to answer the following questions:
What is the issue all about? When and where does it happen? Who are the person/what parties involved?
Why is the issue happening? What solutions have been taken?
Compared to Malaysia/other countries, how does this issue stands out?
What is your view on this issue? Positive? Negative? Neutral? Why would you say so? (Be responsible and argue
with facts)

Lessons learned: How does the issue connects to any of the HR elements that youve learned in lecture?

Students are reminded that failure to comply with the following requirements will result in serious penalties:
All sources of information must be properly cited. Plagiarism issues will be taken seriously.
Submission format: PDF only through email for report. Submission in other format (such as .doc) is not accepted.
