WORK EXPERIENCE
Since Oct08 with JBF RAK LLC, RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE as Assistant Manager-Production
Accountable for Bottle grade PET resin and Film grade resin manufacturing through
polycondensation process and maintaining safe working environment in the plant and
taking care of production and planning.
Additional responsibility in Effluent treatment plant operation and revamping the process
for higher water recycling purpose. Ensuring the clear environment management inside the
premises.
Role: PET Resin Production & Planning
Production planning and achieving the targeted production as per planning, ensuring quality.
Daily production analysis and operating parameters recording.
Corrective action in process and parameter adjustment for quality deviation & planning for raw
material blending.
Making of daily production reports and production entry in SAP.
Coordinating with maintenance departments for equipment preventive jobs and isolation.
Responsible and planning for process related preventive jobs for smooth operation.
Coordinating with engineering department for the effective utilization of resources and minimising
the loses.
Arranging departmental meeting and discussion about the ongoing jobs and process planning.
Carrying out the monthly inventory of finished product, wastage and raw material & additives,
analysis of specific consumption.
Recording and trending of specific consumption, making monthly & yearly production summary
reports includes production, waste generation, specific consumption, breakdown, modifications &
achievements, energy & utility consumption along with trends.
Responsible for production related spares & materials stock monitoring and raising purchase
requisition.
Carry out training and development programme for employees.
Conducting internal ISO audits and proper documentation and making records.
Administering the manpower deployment for shift operation and arranging as per the requirement.
Setting annual budget for production and related spares, monitoring the usage and budget report
through SAP.
Formulating emergency action plan and SOP, flow chart of the total process system.
Responsible for developing, issuance of safety work permit system and carrying out field auditing
to ensure compliance.
Restricting the unsafe behaviour of the persons and ensuring compulsory safety PPEs for safe
practices, maintaining good housekeeping inside the plant area.
Carrying out daily water balance for the treatment process, interpretation analytical water
qualities.
Calculation and feeding of chemicals for anaerobic system and aerobic system.
Responsible for the operational parameter adjustment for effluent treatment section.
Conducting the Jar test, chemical adjustment for water treatment section and settlometer testing
for aerobic plant.
Performance analysis of COD reduction in anaerobic and aerobic system and recording the sludge
generation.
Analysis and interpretation of Ultra filtration and Reverse osmosis plant inlet and outlet water
quality.
Trouble shooting and responsible for taking corrective action in advance for better treatment
programme.
Arranging for external testing of sludge, water for metal content, bio organisms as per the norms
and standards.
Maintaining the chemical stock, and making purchase requisition.
Analysis and making records of overall plant performance, product water quantity over inlet
volume, chemical consumption and its reduction, minimizing sludge generation and power
consumption and trending the values.
Successful identification and arrested Dowtherm internal leakage in the Esterification reactor which
gave operational problem and increased production cost. Shut down activities and start-up of the
plant after modification.
Achieved highest production over designed plant capacity and implemented system modification
and process improvements.
Successful implementation and working of SAP for production and planning.
Effectively worked and received ISO 9001, 22000, 14000 and 18000 certificates and certified
internal auditor.
Successfully commissioned and stabilized 400 TPD solid state poly condensation process plant.
Replaced cobalt acetate colouring agent with toner solution and optimized the process.
Successfully blended QTA with PTA as raw material, optimization of process & outputted low
production cost.
Holds the credit of revamping of effluent treatment plant, process modification, online chemical
dosing system, introduced flow meters, replaced chemicals based on suitability and stabilization of
treatment on continue process.
Mar04 - Sep 08 with South Asian Petrochem Ltd, Haldia, India as Senior officer-production.
Role:
Looked after DCS and Field activities of PET Resin manufacturing process and recording of
parameters.
Responsible for daily production entries through SAP.
Monitoring the operation of HTM heater and maintenance.
Coordination with maintenance department for process equipments change over and preventive
jobs.
Highlights:
Successfully commissioned and stabilized the operation of 120 TPD solid state polycondensation
plant.
Shut down and revamping of process plant for capacity increase and achieved 600TPD PET chips
production against designed 400 TPD.
Successfully commissioned and stabilized coal fired HTM heaters and reduced production cost.
Visited Hangzhou, china, Hengi polymers company- Technology supplier of CTIEI.
Feb03-Mar04 with Indian Oil Petronas Private Limited, Haldia, India as Junior ExecutiveProcess.
Role:
Accountable for the processing and operation of
o Precooling, LPG ship unloading and vapour pushing and compression, condensation of LPG.
o Cryogenic storage of LPG and propane liquid, blending, liquid heating through vaporizer and
tanker filling.
o Start-up of LP fire tube boilers, DM plant and utilities.
Highlights:
Successfully attended onsite emergency programme and LPG tanker leakage mock drill and safety
action.
Holds the credit of successful implementing of cooling water chemical treatment programme and
cost reduction.
