HISTORY OF CAROLS
It is said that the composer of the first carols was the Marquez de
Santillana; he composed a number of songs to celebrate with her
three children the mystery of Christmas.
However, the first known carols were composed by the missionaries in
the V century, in order to bring the Good News to the villagers and
peasants who could not read. His lyrics speak in popular language on
the mystery of the incarnation and were inspired by the liturgy of
Christmas. Villains called the villager and over time, the name of
these Christmas songs changed to "carols". They speak in sensitive
and witty sentiments of the Virgin Mary and the shepherds before the
birth of Christ tone.
In the seventeenth century, spread throughout the world with the birth of
St. Francis of Assisi.
The carols favor participation in the liturgy of Advent and Christmas.
Caroling is a way to show our joy and gratitude to Jesus and listen

their appearance, but its inner meaning. We must live all these
