The HR Department has strategic goals and objectives in order to improve the business
performance of its organization. The role of the HR Department in the strategic planning
process depends on the organization's view of HR Departments role. If the organization
views the HR Department as an equal partner in the strategic planning process, then the
role would include HR planning, recruitment, selection, training, managing, rewarding
and maintaining workforce -- which consists of pertinent decision-making of acquiring
and using the workforce is determined.
