I am an open minded person who accepts challenges to improve myself for future
endeavors. I am a bold, driven, independent individual who can work well with others. I am well
rounded woman with a variety of different skills that are capable of dealing with individuals
from different backgrounds and cultures that will allow me the opportunity to develop an open

Work Experience:
Cabin Counselor at Camp Marcella: A Commissioned camp for the blind and visually
impaired.
June 2008 to August 09, 2008
~ My responsibilities were to encourage each child to be more independent,

~ Printing the letter M and other personal messages by computer on candy.

While at Camp Marcella, I have learned a great deal of respect, and courage to learn
something new and apply it to my everyday life skills. While at Camp Marcella I have learned
respect for myself, and others. To appreciate life no matter the circumstances and never give up.
I’ve had the pleasure of work with individual whom have helped me become a stronger person.

International Resident Assistant:

I worked with exchange students from Korea, China, and Japan for six weeks to help them cope
and learn about American society and culture.
~ Helping the students arrive on time for their classes.
~ Go around every night to check in on them to make sure they were healthy.
~ Encourage them to speak English even though they had a strong accent.
~ Travel with them to different places (Boston, Washington D.C. Philadelphia, New York and
New Jersey) to explore American history and culture.

~ Developed activities for children using a lesson plan.
~ Teaching and demonstrating the basics of basketball, and softball, then applying them in a real
game scenario between the two squads.
During my time at Camp Mason, I came away with understanding how to put a lesson plan
together. I also develop knowledge and understanding of how to work with children ages 12 to
16 to provide them with a sense of accomplishment.
