You can read the history of a city in its architecture. Melbournes richly
layered cityscape reveals its golden past of Victorian-era prosperity, its
growth as the Australian financial capital and its emergence as a worldclass centre of design. It has been named the worlds most liveable city
for four years in a row. Now Aurora Melbourne Central takes this grand
city into a new era.
Aurora Melbourne Central is a unique expression of Melbournes future.
Situated at 224 - 252 La Trobe Street, its aesthetic speaks of new
cultural understandings, with alluring sculptural forms that nurture the
senses and the soul. This inspiring integrated development combines
stunning residential apartments and lavish residents-only amenities with
a destination hotel/serviced apartment, strata office suites and unique
retail offerings.
This is a rare opportunity a once-in-a-lifetime chance to live amongst
the clouds and experience a new paradigm in urban living replete with
stunning views across the city to the bay, parklands, Dandenong Ranges
and beyond.

A TIMELESS MASTERPIECE
Designed by renowned architects Elenberg Fraser, this soaring tower will
provide a new focal point for Melbournes central business district. Yet its
form was inspired by something as delicate as a budding flower.
The towers elegant tapering curves revolve seamlessly around its
axial symmetry. Its complexity and beauty are created through rigorous
geometric exploration of repetition and transition.
Like the Aurora Australis for which it is named, Aurora Melbourne Centrals
sculptural form creates an ethereal and ephemeral experience, which
animates and morphs as you move around the building and through the
city. It is not only a beacon to the aspirations of Melbourne but an integral
part of the new metropolis.

Trains, trams and buses are an easy way to reach the

citys shopping precincts, educational institutions,
business districts and cultural attractions.
Travel on the transport network requires a smart
card, known as a myki card, available at many places
including convenience stores, railway stations and
visitor centres. Services generally run between
5am and midnight on weekdays with extended
hours to around 1am on Friday and Saturday nights.
On Sunday, trains and trams run from 7am to 11pm.

Melbourne is as stimulating as it is diverse. Its Australias sporting capital
home to prestigious international events like the Australian Tennis Open and
the Formula 1 Grand Prix. And each November, Australia stops for one of the
worlds most renowned horse races, the Melbourne Cup.
But Melbourne values the intellectual as well as the physical. In recent years
the city was named the UNESCO City of Literature. The Victorian State
Library, just steps away from Aurora Melbourne Central, attracts academics
and researchers from all over the country and the Melbourne Museum
explores the natural environment, culture and history of Victoria.
This is a great place to study. Over recent years, Melbourne has consistently
been named in the top five student cities in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds)
Top University rankings. Aurora Melbourne Centrals location is ideally
located for two of the citys most esteemed tertiary institutions; Melbourne
University is within easy walking distance and RMIT is right next door.

There is something magical about the way this

monumental structure appears to sit so lightly
on the earth. The secret lies in its glass skin.
Coated with a substance that reacts to light,
its colour gently morphs from rosy hues into
silver. Constantly changing as you view it from
different angles, with the time of day and with
the angle of the sun, its iridescence recalls the
mystical beauty of the aurora itself.

At night, the surfaces will be galvanised by a

system of dancing lights, enhancing their celestial
quality while creating privacy for the residents
within. This really is a building that celebrates its
time and place like no other.

The Stratus and Cumulus Collections will

offer wide views and superb living spaces.
Sophisticated kitchens feature reconstituted or
natural stone benchtops, elegant joinery and
Miele appliances. Youll appreciate considerable
storage, custom-made bathroom vanities and
display shelving in the kitchen. Express your
style with a choice of two colour palettes or
upgrade to premium finishes.

A unique feature of many apartments is the

cleverly-designed winter gardens. Borrowing
from the European concept of the loggia, these
are semi-enclosed spaces that connect living
areas to the outdoors. At higher levels, a wintergarden provides a gentler way of interacting
with the elements, moderating breezes, heat
and sunshine. Glass doors also provide a
seamless transition between indoors and out.

See yourself in
an outstanding
contemporary setting.
