Buil Sikdang in Gangwon-do is a sanchae baekban (table d'hote

up dishes with traditional Korean flavors for over 50 years. The
down-home ambience of the place keeps visitors at ease. The menu
is comprised of a single sanchae baekban (table d'hote with wild
vegetables; ), which is accompanied by about 20 different
side dishes. Depending on your preference, you can add deodeok
gui (grilled bonnet bellflower roots; ) and hwangtae gui
(seasoned and grilled winter-dried pollack; ). The side dishes
alone are worth a visit as they are gathered in nearby mountains and
seasoned to perfection. There are plenty of traditional Korean dishes
here like tofu cooked in an iron pot and doenjang jjigae (soybean
paste stew; ) as well as other dishes suitable for vegetarians.
