THEATER NETWORKING

Debido a la gran oferta teatral de los ltimos

aos, el nmero de espacios que ofrecen una
cartelera de espectculos en forma permanente, tambin ha aumentado.

Due to the great quantity of theatric works in

the last years, it has increased the number of
theaters that offer a permanent performance
planning.

Como una manera de dar a conocer estos

espacios e invitar al pblico chileno y extranjero a asistir a las diversas actividades teatrales
que se realizan en la capital, nace la iniciativa
conjunta de las salas de teatro de Santiago de
publicar su informacin en una gua bilinge,
la que permitir entre otros, generar cruces de
audiencias entre las diferentes salas, introducir
el mercado teatral dentro de la oferta turstica y
potenciar el trabajo en red.

This bilingual publication has emerged as an

agreement among the theater managers in order to publicize these places and invite Chilean
and Foreigner audiences to attend the different
theatrical activities of Santiago, and also to let
them know about the theater information and
facilities. This guide will mainly allow the members of the audience can circulate among the
different stages, and also includes theater as a
tourist activity and promotes the networking in
the theatric field.

Este importante proyecto comienza con la elaboracin de la primera gua impresa de salas de
teatro de Santiago, un material que cuenta con
informacin de las principales salas de teatro
de la capital en ingls y espaol, en una primera
edicin de 20.000 ejemplares.
Gracias al apoyo del CNCA, esta iniciativa es
el primer paso para la puesta en marcha de la
Red de Salas de Teatro - Santiago de Chile,
que espera ver la luz durante el ao 2012 y que
significar, entre otras muchas actividades, la
primera estrategia de marketing asociado del
teatro en Chile.

This important project begin with this guide,

a first printed map of the theater center of
Santiago that contains information about the
principal performance stages in English and
Spanish, with 20.000 free magazines.
With the support of the CNCA (National Culture &
Arts Counsil), this guide is the first step to implement the theater networking Santiago of Chile,
which is going to start in 2012 and it will represent
the first marketing work of the Chilean theater.

Nacional (1976). Cuenta con 20 mil metros cuadrados distribuidos en cuatro niveles, en los que se desarrollan diversas actividades artsticas de carcter
masivas. En 2009, obtuvo el VI Premio Reina Sofa
de Patrimonio Cultural, el que reconoce su labor de
difusin y preservacin del patrimonio.

el escenario ms relevante para la presentacin
de pera, ballet, conciertos y espectculos de
primer nivel, desfilando por sus instalaciones innumerables artistas de renombre internacional y
nacional. Es monumento nacional desde 1974.

con numerosos espacios para la promocin de las
artes escnicas, donde destacados directores y actores de teatro, han mostrado su arte. El ao 2007
suma tres nuevos espacios, entre ellos uno dedicado al Teatro Callejero

Since 1943, the Catholic University Theater has been
a place of creation that combines the professional
theater demands with the students requirements.
Their productions include classical works and it has
an area dedicated to family theater and a project focus on audience generation as booklet of the play,
encounters and special performances for students.

Se inaugura el 2000 con el estreno de Titus

Andronicus de William Shakespeare, que recibe el
premio Apes al mejor montaje de ese ao. Ha organizado una programacin en torno a compaas
jvenes de calidad con proyectos atractivos, lo que
le ha permitido situarse como un referente del teatro
emergente.
It was inaugurated in 2000 with the premiere of Titus
Aandronicus by William Shakespeare, which received de Apes Award for the best staging of that

It is part of the AECID Cultural Centers Association and its aim is to strengthen interlocutory dynamics with Chile, facilitating the access to the center
proposals and activities, and integrating local-character activities. It is a place
open to the citizens and to the civil society that promotes the interchange,
and also the encounter between both cultures.
