1.) Programming of Flash EEPROM with ZF test program for GS 3.3

Caution: Tansmission actuator must not be mounted in transmission. Only stand alone SW
for checking transmission actuator after overhaul!
Necessary work equipment:

Laptop with the latest ZF-TESTMANpro software.

Test software: GS3.3_test_02_2010.exe
Available on ServiceLine under: After Sales/Diagnosis systems/Downloads
or automatic after synchronisation with Websync
ZF-TESTMANpro application: Mont_as2.app (min. version 12.2005)
Table-mode adaptor cable:
ZF no. 6008 207 003 DPA05
24V supply voltage
Air supply at minimum 7bar to the transmission actuator.
Procedure (after synchronisation of Websync):

Software GS3.3_test_02_2010.txt is in the folder Gds3000/apps/project/astronic/hex.

Start the ZF-TESTMANpro. If necessary, note customer-specific data from the
transmission actuator (such as e.g. i Ha (rear axle ratio); Intarder etc.) and then,
program the test program. Load ZF-TESTMANpro /Flash programming/Parts lists. Open
file GS3.3_test_02_2010.txt and program. (Processor 1,2 and E data will be
programmed and the previously programmed driving program is deleted.)
Procedure (after download from ServiceLine):

Download the installation routine named: GS3.3_test_02_2010.zip from the ZFServiceLine Download area; unzip with password: astronic
Start installation routine: Double click on file: GS3.3_test_02_2010.exe
Start the ZF-TESTMANpro. If necessary, note customer-specific data from the
transmission actuator (such as e.g. i Ha (rear axle ratio); Intarder etc.) and then,
program the test program. Load ZF-TESTMANpro /Flash programming/Parts lists. Open
file GS3.3_test_02_2010.txt and program. (Processor 1,2 and E data will be
programmed and the previously programmed driving program is deleted.)

2.) Inspection description

Air supply, at minimum 7bar, to be connected to the pressure reduction valve of the
transmission actuator.
Connect the table mode adaptor cable to the transmission actuator (vehicle side) and
then, connect to the laptop via the junction cable, DPA05, 24V supply voltage.
Start ZF-TESTMANpro. Select main menu/AS Tronic/Assembly inspection AS2.

Caution:
This test inspection may not be carried out with the vehicles engine running!

Select functions run at the test bench.

Shift through the sectors by means of the numeric key functions 1-0 on the laptop's
keyboard or use mouse:
1 = Upshifts
2 = Downshifts
3 = Neutral
4 = 1st R-gear
5 = 2nd R-gear

Gears 1-16
Gears 16-1

Go to menu item 6 on Transmission actuator dynamic in order to view the latest

sensor positions.
Go to menu item 9 to see the currently engaged gear.

Note:
The test software shifts through the gears 1-16 and the 2 R gears.

3.) Out-going inspection

After the functions/leakage test, the correct software according to the vehicle
application, engine/transmission/software allocation etc. must be programmed.
