Type of catalyst/Product name

Special performance

Amine catalysts
TEGOAMIN 33

Preferred as a co-catalyst, catalyzes both the gelling and the blowing reaction.

TEGOAMIN BDE

Preferred as a very active co-catalyst used to catalyze particularly the blowing reaction.

TEGOAMIN B 75

Very versatile for all foam densities. Does not need a co-catalyst due to a well
balanced blowing/gelling action.

TEGOAMIN DMEA

Highly blow-efcient, good co-catalyst, particularly when used with TEGOAMIN 33

TEGOAMIN SMP

Especially well suited for foams in the low and medium density range.
Improves the hardness by about 5 10 %.

TEGOAMIN PTA

Very versatile for all foam densities. Does not need a co-catalyst due to a well
balanced blowing/gelling action.

Metal catalysts
KOSMOS 29

Stannous octoate, essential for all exible polyether foams.

KOSMOS EF

Emission free stannous catalyst for all kind of exible polyether foams.

The preferred tertiary amines for high resilience foam manufacturing are Bis(2-dimethylaminoethyl)ether
and Triethylenediamine. The former supports the blowing reaction, the latter accelerates the gelling reaction
primarily.
Both types are available as convenient-to-dose, ready-to-use versions.
