Afro-India: Some Historical Links Between

Africa and India Jide Uwechia

A long and illustrous history connects Africa and the Indian sub-continent. Due to the moonson
currents of the Ethiopian-Indian seas, Africans have been visiting the Indian continent since the
dawn of time.
African impact on India is found in artefacts, ancient texts, genetic foot-prints, physical
resemblance amongst populations, cultural and linguistic similarities, gastronomic affinities, and
a common world view.
It is generally agreed today by scientists and historians that an early migration of African
population first settled the coastal areas of south India, then spread gradually inland to
acclamatize, naturalize and build the great civilizations of Harrappan, Mohend-jaro, and other
great cultures that sprang up and flowered along the sub-continent.
In the time of the classical afro-Persians (Elamo-Persians), before the rise of the present day
Turkish-Farsis, the Kings of the Empire governed Africa and India as one land. They were
indeed different provinces in one country.
According to the Book of Esther Chapter 1, in the days of King Ahasuerus, the span of the
Persian Empire spread from India to Ethiopia, over an hundred and seven and twenty
provinces.. See King James Version Bible Old Testament.
Black Gods of India
That India is a black continent is not news to anyone. Having accepted their defeat on that point,
the imperialist, and some lost wannabe Nazi-racist Brahmons Indians fall back on a dislocated
illogical consideration on how black is black. Black in the Indian sub-continent means black,
as in the French word noir. Black like Lord Krishna.
Lord Krishna (the hero of the Mahabharata and Gita, viewed as divine by many Hindus) is
described as one of those aboriginal black skinned Indian. Analysis of his adventures and
provenance points to a line of descent rising from the tribal Indians whose African lineage is still
very much evident even today. In fact, the word Krishna still means BLACK in Sanskrit.
Lord Rama, the hero of the Ramayana epic, is unequivocally and particularly described as a dark
skinned Indian. He is not a brahmin. He is of the aboriginal tribal Indian extraction, more African
than Asian.
In the Ramayana epic, Lord Rama fights and kills the evil king Ravana, who is a brahmin, and is
not singled out for description as dark. (This point is distorted by some racist indians, possibly
influenced by British color prejudices).

The goddess Kali, revered by many Hindus, is also described as a black skinned mother of
human-kind. She is a black Indian of the Kushitic extraction. She remains, the aboriginal tribal
goddess of the sub-continent. And, Lord Shiva, her consort and the eternal lord of India is a
dreadlocked black skin god of African extraction.
One can clearly see that in the Indian sub-continent, there has historically been some association
between godhood, the black color, and the aboriginal features of the tribal Indians.
Alexander the Greek goes to India
When Alexander the Greek took the klan to India, it was only too late in the day relative to the
history of human cultural interaction.
The sorority of the southern families, the Muurish nations of this world, have had an ongoing
cultural and biological bond for hundreds of thousands of years. There was complete harmony
and seamless symmetry amongst the nations of Africans and Asians who inhabited the Indian
sub-continent. This was confirmed by the classical Greek writers who came, saw and marvelled
at the achivement of human antiquity.
According to Strabo: I assert that the ancient Greeks, in the same way as they classed all the
northern nations with which they were familiar as Scythians, etc., so, I affirm, they designated as
Ethiopia the whole of the southern countries toward the ocean.
Strabo: if the moderns have confined the appellation Ethiopians to those only who dwell near
Egypt, this must not be allowed to interfere with the meaning of the ancients.
Another Greek writer Ephorus declared: The Ethiopians were considered as occupying all the
south coasts of both Asia and Africa, and adds that this is an ancient opinion of the of the
Greeks.
Herodotus stated that: The sexual intercourse of all these Indians of whom I have spoken is open
like that of cattle, and they have all one colour of skin, resembling that of the
Ethiopians:moreover the seed which they emit is not white like that of other races, but black like
their skin;and the Ethiopians also are similar in this respect. These tribes of Indians dwell further
off than the Persian power extends, and towards the South Wind, and they never became subjects
of Dareios.
Moreover, Herodotus wrote in his celebrated History that both the Western Ethiopians, who lived
in Africa, and the Eastern Ethiopians who dwelled in India, were black in complexion, but that
the Africans had curly hair, while the Indians were straight-haired.
Herodotus also alluded to regiments of Indian troopers and Indian elephant handlers that he had
seen on the North African coast during one of his visits to that land.
Morale:

It was an old drunken English Judge serving in the Indian colonial service who noticed the
similarites between Hindu words, Sanskrit words and some words in English language and
German. Voila! the Aryan language school was magically constructed, by an unqualified
amateur, based on casually and tenuously founded premises.
It was however at the height of western supremacy. Any imagined garbage theory could become
orthodoxy as long as it serves the aim of pale/white-man supremacy.
So overnight, ten thousand years of intimate cultural connection between Africa and India, was
subsumed by a false non-existent Indo-Aryan theory of cultural relationship.
There are no texts in ancient times that point to Europe from India. No-one has been able to
discover anything like a proto-indo-aryan language indicating that the hypothesis itself is simply
just an empty theory. Many Indian texts speak glowingly about Cush Dwipa (Africa). Indians
have known Habbashis, Arapis, Zengis sailors and tradesmen since the beginning of time.
Ancient African communities deeply rooted in India exist even unto this day. Many Greeks
testified to Africas linkage with ancient India.
The Old testament described the old governmental structures of the so-called Africa-Middle
East-Indian continent.
All must keep history in perspective. Otherwise the pettiness of today, the little hatreds of today
emanating from colonial divide-and-rule confusion tactis, will keep tearing down the children
of the elephants, the blessed peoples of Dwipa Kush (Africa/Arabia) and Hindu Kush
(India/Pakistan), keeping them away from their true legacy and their real potentiality.
