From two-seater training aircraft to intercontinental business jets, all aircrafts that do not come
under Defense or Scheduled flights come under general aviation. The once booming industry was hit
very hard by the economic recession and has led to a drastic decline in revenues. The economy
however is resurgent particularly in Asia leading to a revival of the market. Although the numbers
have not quite reached the 2007 level, the industry is expected to grow steadily over the next few
years.

The market is driven by increasing concerns of safety and security among the business class
thereby requiring their own jets. The report divides the aircrafts based on their size and application
and gives a region wise analysis. North America is still ahead of the other regions in terms of market
share due to the existing infrastructure and relaxed regulatory environment. The major constraints
to this market are lack of proper dedicated infrastructure and MRO facilities which need to be
developed for the industry to thrive.
