Description: This is an inspirational montage with the blending of

Programs Used:
Adobe Photoshop
Process:
The first part of the project was deciding what I wanted to do my
project on. I probably went through 15- 20 different ideas before
I finally settled on one. I then sketched a few different ideas as to
how I could implement my idea. I then picked pictures and wanted
to use the color scheme which was in there. After this, I scanned
my images and decided to get started. I then began in Photoshop
and did a mask, adding and subtracting parts of my images I
wanted or didnt want with the brush to help blend in the photos.
I used asymmetry in that I had all the words on the left top corner
and the picture took up most of the bottom/ bottom right. I used
the eyedropper tool to match the color of my words with some
of the colors found in the picture. It was really difficult to get the
images how I wanted them, but after working with them for a while
I finally got some headway which was nice. I used black and white
with the bush tool over the image of the music and started from
10% opacity to 30% opacity in the middle where I wanted the focal
point. I also made the notes on the music page more sharp so that
they would be easier to notice.

really difficult and I scratched about 10 of my first ideas. So, then
I sketched some more and took these sketches to Illustrator. I got
a few images that I liked and so started working on those more. I
used circles and the pen tool. I then went into InDesign and worked
with text and color scheme- fitting everything together better. I
worked on my business cards which were difficult. I jumped back
and forth between InDesign and Illustrator so that I could fix small
things so that I could get the look that I wanted.

Vouant Communications is devoted to helping

tomorrows leaders gain essential leadership skills
in the workplace. During this dynamic three-day
seminar, attendees will meet with top executives
of Vouant Communications to discuss breakthrough
leadership techniques, while cultivating attributes
of leadership that will market to any employer.

Programs Used:
Adobe Indesign

Conference is available to graduating seniors.

Space is limited.

Process: I started off with sketching a few different designs. I then

chose from the various ones one which I felt like was my best
one and began to use that as my inspiration in InDesign. I used
alignment throughout with some of the text lining up with the
picture (top of books, top corner of picture, and also the clipboard).
I ended up simplifying the message from my first initial draft in that
there is more white space now than there was before. And I believe
the flow is better.

Come learn how at Vouant Communications annual Graduate Leadership Conference.

Process:
I started off sketching a whole bunch of different ideas. I then went
to illustrator and put my idea into a logo. I used the Ellipse tool in
Illustrator and made two circles. I layered one on top of the other
and cut out the piece of the top circle leaving only a piece of the
bottom one. I then went in and deleted anchor points and curved
the edges to make it look more like a moon shape. I took that
shape and copied and pasted it and shrunk it down to various sizes
and rotated it different ways to help form the shape of the face. I
then went in and put it in photoshop and shrunk it and checked the
colors and in html and css made a format as to how I wanted my
webpage to look using the same color scheme as my logo. It was a
difficult process, but eventually I started to get the hang of it.

Process:
Im passionate about dancing and started sketching designs
that had to do with dancing. I took one of my sketches to Adobe
illustrator and started working on it, I had to revise it a little just
because it didnt work on screen with the white space as I had
hoped. I then went into InDesign and began working on my layout.
In Photoshop, I took a picture and cut it so that the ballerina was
the only part of the image showing. It took multiple re-tries just
because I kept cutting off a part of her foot or head or something.
I pulled it back to InDesign and placed text around it and text
wrapped it.

Comfortable:

Durability:

Most dancers know what

its like to have on sweats
which are restraining in
some way or are itchy. This
is not the case with En
Pointe! Fashion products.

En Pointe! Fashion pieces do not get

runs in them like tights inevitably do.
They are able to withstand vigourous
washings and wears and are always
ready for more.

All articles are made with

a stretch polyester fabric
which keeps the muscles
warm, and yet is able to
move with the body and not
be restricting. The Polyester
is also a nice change from
the usual rough cotton
which is often worn.

Transition-able:

How it Got Started:

This unique brand began when Janice Nelson, as a Prima Ballerina for
the Ballet West Company, went through many different brands of dance
wear to find comfortable warm-up attire which would hold up through her
strenuous routine of dancing eight to twelve hours a day.
It needed to be something which was able to make a statement yet also
be able to transition from pointe shoes to flats easily for quick shoe and
costume changes.
For Janice, there wasnt anything which fit her or other dancers needs.
So, she started up this brand of her own, knowing the dancers wants and
wishes of needing something comfortable, durable and transition-able.

With quick changes in mind, En

Pointe! Fashion has many great
amenities. The leg warmers
come with toe and heel cut-outs
so that shoes can be easily
changed without taking the
whole leg warmer off.
The sweatshirts come
with Velcro so that they
are easily taken off for
a costume change or

Fashion StateAs a company concerned about

dancers needs, En Pointe! Fashion
realizes that just having warm-up
clothes which are comfortable, durable
and transition-able are not enough.
We understand that a statement in
style is also a must. We offer over 300
variations of colors and prints for each
article of attire. This enables you to show off your style

I first decided to sketch a whole bunch of different designs. After
which I chose one and decided what color scheme I wanted to
implement with it. I chose split complementary.I went to the Idaho
Falls river and took a lot of pictures. After which I went home,
opened Photoshop and started experimenting with the Photos using
these specific editing techniques: levels, sharpness, saturation, and
color balance. Then I designed an 8.511 layout that included my
photo, text, and repeating design elements. I incorporated my color
scheme title, color swatches, and color names into my design. I
used the eye dropper tool and adjusted the color in the color picker
to match a little more accurately. I had a difficult time getting
alignment and asymmetry, but in the end I felt like I got it.

I began the process by thinking of what kind of organization I
wanted to do a Logo for. I came up with about 10 and started
sketching. I had some ideas and was excited to get started in Adobe
Illustrator. I took my ideas and got started. I had a really difficult
time trying to get things to work. So, I finally got some to work that
I thought were ok. I then got feedback from several people. After
which I went back and started cleaning things up a little. I used the
pen tool and the shape tool as well as the path finder tool.
