Review distribution plans received from programme unit and prepare monthly transport plan;
Prepare LTIs relating to distribution plans and forward to Head of Sub-Office for approval;
Transmit LTIs to transporters and warehouses at least 72 hours prior to the first loading dates;
Monitor daily dispatch progress and through close collaboration with transporters and warehouse,
ensure delivery of all commoditites and the completion of LTIs on or before NLT dates specified in
the distribution plan;
Monitor daily transporters performance and ensure that the warehouse receive adequate trucking
capacity as scheduled every morning by 10:00 am;
Prepare consolidated LTI balances reports on daily basis and circulate to concerned Logistics and
Programme Officers;
Initiate contact with transporters if problems occur due to late loading or wrong delivery and report
to Head of Sub-Offices accordingly;
Liaise with Cooperating partners to ensure adherence to delivery locations and dates;
Communicate to Cooperating Partners in case of delays in the dispatch plan and make necessary
changes in collaboration with Programme staff;
Assist Logistics officer in contingency planning and Logistics preparedness reviews;
Maintain a standardized filing system of all transport operation activities;
On monthly basis conduct appraisals on commercial transporters determining their performance
during the preceding month and prepare on a monthly performance reports;
Participate in the inspection and selection of potential commercial transporters for inclusion on the
approved shortlist;
Assist in preparation of transport RFQs;
Conduct transport market surveys at least 4 times per year;
Supervise storekeeper(s) and ensure warehouse activities conform to WFP standards;
Ensure the maintenance of quality and quantity of the food stored in the warehouse;
Capture commodity movement and loss data in WFP corporate commodity tracking system
(COMPAS) and maintain proper filing system for all related documents;
Perform any other relevant assignments as requested by the immediate supervisor and or the
Head of Logistics;
Qualification:
Knowledge: Experience utilizing computers including word processing, spreadsheet and other
software packages.
Language: Must have good command in both oral and written English and Myanmar.
