System Requirements
------------------Processor: Any Intel x86 compatible CPU.
Operating System: Windows 98/98SE/Me/2000/XP - Recommend Windows XP SP1 or newer
for best features and functionality.
USB Controllers and Ports: At least (1) USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 Controller
CPU Speed: Recommended 1Ghz or faster - USB Info should run OK on slower CPUs bu
t because of Windows overhead, the Performance Test results will not be as accur
ate and the various USB Windows and functions may be significantly slower.
System RAM: Recommended 128 MB for Windows 98/SE/Me -- Recommended 256 MB for Wi
ndows 2000/XP -- May run OK on faster systems with 128 MB - Although it should r
un on most systems, it is not recommended to be run on systems with less than 12
8 MB.
Free Disk Space: Recommended at least 500 MB of extra disk space - USB Info only
takes up about 10 MB but it is a good idea to make sure you have plenty of extr
a disk space so Windows has plenty of working space for its swap files.
3rd Party Applications: A PDF File Viewer is required to read the USB Info User'
s Manual.
Special Login Requirements: On Windows 2000/XP you must be logged on as a user w
ith Administrator privileges - This version requires application level Administr
ator privileges in order to access certain registry keys and write the special f
ilter driver registry entries.

Version Updating Instructions -- On-going Trial/Evaluation or Registered Version

2. Run the Installation and Setup
3. BEFORE running USB Info, copy the saved LicenseKey.txt file back to the USB I
nfo program directory
4. Run USB Info normally
TRIAL/EVALUATION VERSION UPDATE NOTE: If you forget to save the LicenseKey.txt f
ile and were running an on-going Trial/Evaluation, you can delete the LicenseKey
.txt file that is in the USB Info program directory and when you run USB Info ag

ain it should recover your on-going Trial/Evaluation License Key.


REGISTERED VERSION UPDATE NOTE: If you forget to save the LicenseKey.txt file an
d were running an on-going Registered Version, you may have to re-enter your Reg
istration Informaiton and License Key Data.

al Edition from the computer where USBINFO is installed.
-> Fixed a USB Device limitation bug which limited the number of total USB Devic
es that USB Info would display to 64. USB Info now allows the USB Devices to dyn
amically grow to as many USB Devices as can be supported by the computer's avail
able mmemory.
-> Fixed a bug in the sorting of Performance Test Log files -- The sort by date
was not working correctly.
-> Added the USB Composite Device Interface Number to the Device Selected For Pe
rformance Test display on the Performance Test Window and the Performance Test L
og Filenames so it is clear which interface of a USB Composite Device is selecte
d and/or tested.
-> User Manual button added to the About USBINFO Window so the USBINFO User's Ma
nual you can be opened from there.
-> Moved the System Information button from the About Window to the Startup Quic
k Help Window.
-> Removed the Registration Information from the Startup Quick Help Window.
-> Corrected minor bugs with the special SafeMode feature.
