Recomendao
Aps as 6 horas iniciais de tratamento, os
pacientes que forem admitidos na UTI, com
sepse grave e choque sptico e hiperglicemia,
devem receber insulinoterapia venosa para
reduzir os nveis de glicemia. Sugere-se que seja
utilizado um protocolo validado de
insulinoterapia venosa, para controle glicmico
entre 100 e 150 mg/dl.

Recomendao
Embora no esteja clara a relao entre
hipoglicemia e mortalidade em pacientes com
sepse grave e choque sptico, deve-se evitar sua
ocorrncia. A utilizao da insulinoterapia

nveis normais de glicemia entre 80-110 mg/
dl, em pacientes clnicos, est associada a
ocorrncia de hipoglicemia.
