SURFACE PREPARATION

Surfaces to be coated must be prepared according to Lotasil Guide Specifications.

All surfaces must be clean and dry before application.

Old metal roofs with rusty surfaces must be prepared by brushing and cleaning
off rust particles. One coat of approved anti-corrosion paint to be applied.

RESPONSIBLE CARE

Do not pour leftover paint

into drain. Leave in pail for
safe disposal.

Use in a well ventilated area,

wearing eye and face
protection.

Pail must be stored upright

with lid tightly closed.

If product is swallowed,
seek medical advice.

In case of eye contact, rinse

with clean water and seek
medical advice.

Do not re-use pail to store

food or drink.

Keep away from children.

All screws must be applied with A-COOL Silicone Patching Compound. All holes
to be patched by fibre glass matt or chopped strand fibre glass.

A-COOL Silicone Waterproofing Membrane is applied in one or two coats

depending on requirements or application methods.

Application by brush is preferable over roller because of better surface levelling.

Use a large brush attached to a short extension pole for easy application.
Application by spray equipment is allowed. Contact Lotasil Technical Support
for information.
APPLICATION

Mixing : Mix product slowly with paddle mixer to ensure product is

homogeneously mixed. Do not whip up bubbles with strong mixing.

Thinning : Product is ready to use. Should thinning be required, please check

Application : Apply with brush for one thick single coat for best levelling effect
or with spray equipment. Apply 1 coat and allow to cure preferably 5-7 hours
or overnight. Reapply second coat if required.

ADVANTAGES

As a moisture curing product, the cured product exhibits excellent long term
resistance when exposed to natural weathering including temperature fluctuations,
ultraviolet radiation, rain with negligible change in product elasticity.
The product can be applied by way of spray, roller or brush. Application of 1 single
thick coat by brush is sufficient for most cases.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Silicone Membrane is slippery when in contact with water after rainfall. Precautions
must be taken to ensure proper safety precautions are undertaken especially when
roofs are higher than low pitch.
