highschoolleadershipyouthcanarticulateitsimportanceandmakeitagoal.AnabelJohnsonisanenteringseniorat
BattleMountainHighSchoolandisnotonlyinvolvedinmanyactivitiesonandoffcampus,butalsopursuesher
manypassionsandgoals.ForAnabellifeisaboutenjoyingit'saboutnotonlydoingeverythingyouneedtodobut
gettingtimeforyourselfaswelltobeabletoenjoywhatyou'redoing.Shewantstobeknownnotonlyassomeone
whoalwaysworkedtheirhardestateverythingbutatthesametimewasthereforothersandmadeadifferenceinher
communityandwithherpeers.
Inherhighschoolcareer,AnabelhasbeenapartofNationalHonorsSociety,LinkCrew,crosscountry,Youth
LeadersCouncil,anddrama.Inthisnextschoolyear,shewillbethestudentbodyVicePresident,directaplay,bea

EagleCounty'spilotSummerFoodServiceProgram(SFSP)willprovidemorethan15,000mealstolowincomechildren,whooftengohungryinthesummer
whenschoollunchprogramsendandfamilybudgetsgettighter.ThisInteGreat!poweredprogramcoincideswithEagleCounty
School'sGreatStartpreschoolandtheYouthFoundation'sSummerPwrHrs.Twoofthreesummersiteswillbeopentothe
community,whereallchildrenages0to18yearsoldwillbeautomaticallyeligibleforafreemeal.
Wearerequestingsupportinthreeways:
Volunteers:Withthedonationofyourlunchhour,achildwillhaveaccesstoahealthymeal.Asavolunteer,youmaybewelcominganddirectingfamilies,
countingattendance,servingfruitsandvegetables,helpinggetthewordoutabouttheprogram,orprovidingawarm,lovingadultpresenceinthelunchroom.
VolunteerpositionsareavailablebydayorbyweekfromMondaytoThursdayuntilJuly30th,11:30a.m.to12:45p.m.Formoreinformationortoregisterto
