Role Snapshot
This Program focuses on providing an enhanced and consistent intern experience that offers personal and
professional development, opportunity to enhance existing skill sets, gain career perspective, broader exposure
to HPs organization and culture -- all of which leads to faster integration of interns into the organization. Our aim
is to return qualified interns for subsequent assignments with a goal of converting into full-time HP employees
upon graduation based

Roles & Responsibilities


Project 1
Fusion Program-Thunderbird-OneView
HPs strategic next generation enclosure infrastructure (Thunderbird) and its management software (OneView) are
being developed to release to market in Q2. WPST team needs to automate an extensive UI test cases that would
reduce the test development and test execution time, bringing greater product development efficiency.
The Intern will be involved in developing automated test suites for some of the UI manual test cases of OneView
and carryout respective product testing. Also involve in Setting up test infrastructure, develop tools that help in
reporting, capturing defect Matrix and augment product quality
Skill Sets Expected:
Strong in C Programming, Scripting (Python, Perl), Good knowledge in OOPS concepts & Computer
Project 2
Thunderbird Topology Discovery
HPs strategic next generation enclosure infrastructure (Thunderbird) and its management software (OneView) are
being developed to release to market in Q2. Thunderbirds interconnect topology provides rich user experience
and ease of use in setting up the infrastructure to administrators and operators. As we go forward, we would
expand the supported Thunderbird topologies spanning cross several enclosures and it is important to continue
provide the rich user experience through OneView.
The Intern will be involved in developing algorithm for a proof of concept for some of the improvement ideas
around Thunderbird topology discovery, which is expected to bring down the overall development efforts to build
Third CXP topology
Skill Sets Expected:
Strong in XML, Java Programming, Good knowledge in OS data structures and networking.
Project 3
Fusion Program-Thunderbird-OneView
HPs strategic next generation enclosure infrastructure (Thunderbird) and its management software (OneView) are
being developed to release to market in Q2. The Regression test environment ensures the overall quality of
integrated code in a multi team development model. A robust regression setup and environment is key to the
success of program.
The Intern will be involved in enhancing the regression test environment for the backend functionalities. This
would help in ensuring better product quality of the deliverables. The intern would also be involved in enhancing
the overall VM infrastructure to reduce downtime time for the development team
Skill Sets Expected:
Strong in Java, Python, XML and networking concepts
Project 4
Embedded Management for HP ProLiant Servers
ProLiant Servers are the worlds largest selling x86 servers for more than a decade. HP ProLiants Platform provides
variety of Manageability tools in embedded as well as software form to enable user to leverage the servers facility
under a Light out conditions.
The Intern will be involved in developing a various tools to extracting data from different embedded devices as
well as developing mechanism to configure new devices using various interfaces & channels.
Skill Sets Required:
Strong C & C++ programming, Scripting (Python, Perl), Good knowledge on Computer architecture

Big Data Analytics for HP Proliant servers

latest web tools used for graphical Data representations.

SQL & C#/C++ programming, HTML 5, Data analytics & Data integration tools like SSAS & SSIS.
Project 6
ProLiant ROM Tools
ProLiant Servers are the worlds largest selling x86 servers for more than a decade. Platform firmware provides
the key differentiation for ProLiants from the rest of the market with innovative features that simplifies
deployment, manageability and maintenance of the server with impeccable system performance. ProLiant server
BIOS quality and boot time also play a critical factor that help retain the number one position for ProLiants in the
x86 server market.
The Intern will be involved in developing a BIOS Proof of Concept on some of our boot time performance
improvement ideas and also involve in developing productivity tools that help streamline the Firmware
development process and augment product quality.
Skill Sets Required:
Strong in C Programming, Scripting (Python, Perl), Good knowledge in Computer System Architecture.

HP Nonstop Servers division is part of the Enterprise Server and Storages business unit at HP. This server product
line serves customers with business-critical situations that require continuous availability and has served its
customers for over three decades. HP NonStop is today used by financial institutions, telecom, emergency
response centers, hospitals, and stock exchanges to deliver better business outcomes through:

Real time, all the time, business solutions for the enterprise
Simplified management that is built-in HP NonStop product development group is looking for student
interns. The teams in HP NonStop works on all system software stack products such as Operating
Systems, File system, Platform Security and Networking products
Middleware and Database products
Compilers, Debuggers and other development tools

The skills required are C/C++, Java and knowledge of Operating systems and Databases will help.

HPs Enterprise group houses one of the largest R & D Data Center in Bangalore. Efficient and optimal
management of this Data center is key to Enterprise groups success and it is its highest business priorities.
There are challenges of burgeoning cost of management of IT infrastructure which is being tackled by EG IT team
by embarking on the journey in New Style of IT.
The candidate will be involved in assisting EG IT team in Developing Proof of Concept in the journey of New Style
of IT. Candidate will be involved in developing tools for automating and simplifying IT Infrastructure
management for EG R & D team. He will also be involved in customizing and adopting HPs Enterprise IT
management products for EG R & D IT needs.
Skill Set expected:
Strong OS Internal Knowledge in one of UNIX/LINUX flavors, Scripting Languages like PERL or Python. Any of
following would be added advantage.. Virtualization concepts, Web Technologies like REST Services, HTML 5 and
Exposure to JAVA programming.

Advanced Development Center (ADC) is sponsored by the CTO, EG organization ($28B revenue), with key objective
of investigating and conceptualizing product innovations around key strategic areas of enterprise business. ADC
team is chartered to investigate the strategic aspects of technology; how it is driving business and work very
closely with the business units on taking priority ideas to the market. ADC is focused on Hyper Convergence,
Software Defined Storage, Big Data Workload optimizations and Accelerator technologies among others. We are
expanding our team and looking for researchers or skilled advance system engineers to join our team.
You would bring the desire to be part of an advanced development team at the forefront of current systems
research that will deliver the product ideas and innovative technologies at the core of the future of

Creates portions of research/advance development plans, investigative procedures, and collection and analysis
guidelines for assigned investigation; collaborates with internal and external partners to perform experiments
and validations in accordance with overall research/advance development plan.
Prepares literature and presentations for peer review, publication, and delivery at industry and scientific events

Skill Set expected:- Solid understanding of the operating system principles


Good knowledge and experience on ESX, Hyper-V or KVM hypervisors and associated virtualization
technologies /management interfaces
Knowledge and experience in development environment like Linux/Unix (preferred) or Windows and
debugging.
Knowledge and experience in C/C++, Java, Python
Understanding around Bid Data domain and related technologies (Hadoop, MapReduce, Cassandra, HDFS,
Hive, Spark and related technologies)
Lower level development technologies like OpenCL, VHDL, Verilog, OpenMP, etc.
Knowledge around distributed file systems
Familiarity with storage concepts like storage virtualization, RAID, SAN, FC/iSCSI, SCSI, deduplication,
compression algorithms, etc.

The Intern(s) will be involved in developing productivity improvement tools and Proof of Concepts for some of our
new ideas that help in optimizing the development/test cycles of the

Mtech: All circuit Branches with 70% overall with no backlogs.

Stipend: 15500 per month.
