Good morning friends
First of all, let me thank you for your coming today
I really appreciate you taking the time to be here
Let me introduce my self, my name is Ivan Hidayat.
Iam civil engineering student at UNIKA Soegijapranata Semarang and
I come from semarang
Today, I will talking to you about project management
I choose the topic about it because project management is very important for us
as civil engineering student
I have divided my talk/presentation into three main parts
First of all I will talk to you about definition of project management
After that I will talk to you about the function of project management
And finally I will talk to you about the benefit of a good project management
My presentation will take about 7 minutes
Dont worry about taking notes. I will be handling out copies of the slides at the
end of my talk

So, today, Iam here, want to tell you about project management
In this part of my presentation, I want to tell you about definition of project
management
The definition of project management. project management is a process.
If you ask me process of what?
The answer there in the next slide. Lets move on to the next slide.
What is the process? project management is the process of planning, organizing,
leadership, and control of a project. Surely, project related to civil engineering
All of the processing is done by all members. It means tah all members in a
company
to utilize the resources optimally. It means that not wasted resources available
to achieve specific targets.

As I said erlier in the opening of my presentation, that project management is
important.
Why?

Lets now take a look at the bar chart in this slide.
Source by KPMG International, 2013. This is main cause of underperforming
projects
There is including of project delays, poor estimating practices, failed risk
management process, poor subcontractor performances, design error and
omissions, lack of available resources, change in project management team, and
finally poorcilent relations.

Look at this. Rate is to high. It is cause of bad project management

So if you ask me how to make a good project management?
We go back to the previous slide.
To make a good project management we must make a good planning, good
organizing, good leadership, and good control of project.
Lets move on to the next slide.
In this part of my presentation. I will talking to you about the function of project
management
The function of project management surely is to manage
To manage what ?
To manage the scope of work, time, cost, and quality (surely the quality of project)
With the project managemet, it will show the boundary between the authority,
duties, and responsibilities
So it will not happen any duties and responsibilities that are performed overlapping

Finally we there in the last part of my presentation.
In this part of my presentation I will talking to you about the benefit of a good
project management

Right quantity
Right quality
Cost in accordance with the fee plan
