INTRODUCTION

Once upon a time, the animals decided they should do something meaningful to meet the problems of the new
world.
So they organized a school.

They adopted an activity curriculum of

running, climbing, swimming and flying. To make it easier to administer the curriculum, all the
animals took all the subjects.
The duck was excellent at swimming; in fact, better than
his instructor. But he made only passing grades in flying,
and was very poor at running. Since he was slow in running, have had to drop swimming and stay after school to
practice running. This causes his webfeet to be badly worn,
so that he was only average in swimming. But average
was quite acceptable so nobody worried about that except the duck.
The rabbit started at the top of his class in running, but
developed a nervous twitch in his leg muscles because of
so much make-up work in swimming.
The squirrel was excellent in climbing, but he encountered
constant frustration in flying class because his teacher made
him start from the ground up instead of from the treetop
down. He developed Charlie horses from over excretion,
and so only got a C in climbing and a D in running.
The eagle was a problem child and was severely disciplined for being a non-conformist. In climbing he beat all
the others to the top of the tree, but insisted on using his
way to get there A duck is a duck-and only a duck. It is
built to swim, not to run or fly and certainly not to climb. A
squirrel is a squirrel-and only that. To move it out of its
forte, climbing, and then expect it to swim or fly will drive
a squirrel nuts. Eagles are beautiful creatures in the air
but not in a foot race. The rabbit will win every time unless, of course, the eagle gets hungry.
What is true of creatures in the forest is true of Christians
in the family; both the family of believers and the family
under your roof. God has not made us all the same. He
never intended to. It was He who planned and designed
the differences, unique capabilities and variations
If God made you a duck-youre a duck, friend. Swim like
mad, but dont get bent out of shape because you wobble
when you run or flap instead of fly. Furthermore, if youre
an eagle saint, stop expecting squirrel saints to soar, or
rabbits sits to build the same kind of nests you do
So relax. Enjoy your spiritual species. Cultivate your own
capabilities, your own style. Appreciate the members of
your family or your fellowship for who they are, even though
their outlook or style may be miles different from yours.
Rabbits dont fly. Eagles dont swim. Ducks look funny trying to climb. Squirrels dont have features. Chuck Swindoll
The Bible says that we are specially made by our God[Job
10.8] The intended function always determines the form
of the building. Before God created you, he decided what
role he wanted you to play on earth. You are the way you
are because you were made for a specific ministry. You
are not an assembly-line product, mass-produced without
though. You are a custom-designed, one-of a-kind, original masterpiece. Ethel Waters said, God doesnt make
junk. God never wastes the abilities, interests, talents,
gifts, personality (139.13-15) and the experiences (16) unless he intended to use them for his glory.
Unless you assume a god, the question of lifes purpose is

meaningless. Bertrand Russell; Knowing

self should start with knowing God and
His purpose in creating man. When anybody is committed to God, He will be
committed to Gods creation, i.e. himself and the purpose for which he was
created, i.e. ministry.

CAUSE FOR KNOWING SELF

The man without identity and purpose is like a ship without a rudder-a waif a nothing, a no man. Thomas Carlyle.
When we do not know self, we try to find meaning and
value in various things like money, materials, position,
achievements, assignments and others. Lack of self worth,
low self-esteem, identity crises, and complexity feeling are
some of the consequences of not knowing self.
God doesnt play dice. Albert Einstein; God is not at all
surprised by our birth. In fact, he expected it because he
planed every detail of it. (Ps. 139. 13-17, Eph. 1.4, Acts
17. 25-26) While there are illegitimate parents, there are
no illegitimate children. Many children are unplanned by
their parents, but they are not unplanned by God. Gods
purpose took into account human error, and even sin. Our
God made us for a reason, and our life has a profound
meaning! We discover that meaning and purpose only when
we make God the reference point of our lives.
Knowing self and purpose of life:
We are made by God and for God and until we understand that, life will never make a sense. Who we are, and
what for, we are made, Are the two sides of the same coin.
When we know self, we will know our purpose, our potential but also our limitations. Knowing self gives meaning
to life.
People who dont know their purpose try to do too much
and that causes stress, fatigue and conflict. Dont live
carelessly, unthinkingly; Make sure you understand what
the master wants. Ep.5.17; Knowing self simplifies life.
The men and women who have made the greatest difference in history were the most focused. They know who
they are and their purpose. This is the true joy of life;
the being used up for a purpose recognized by yourself as
almighty one; being a force of nature instead of feverish,
selfish little clot of ailments and grievances, complaining
that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
George Bernard Shaw; Knowing self motivates your life.
Knowing self and salvation:
Only when we know that we are sinners, we can confess
our sins. Only when we know that God loves us, we can
ask his forgiveness. Only when we know that God has
accepted and forgiven us, we can solve our identity crises.
Without forgiveness life is a dead-end street. Regardless
of path we take, we always end up at a place in our lives
from which there are not place to go. We are locked in by
our sin and our human limitations. God opens the door
and ushers us into new, often unexplored, territory. Who
am I? I am an explorer. I am free to make an impact upon
my world. I have been given not only the opportunity, but
also the responsibility to make a difference as God frees
me from the limitations of my sin.
Knowing self and Sanctification:
Sanctification or spiritual growth is intentional, but many
think it is automatic. Babies grow by having the physical
food, so we grow by having the spiritual food. Unless we
know that we are spiritual being in need of spiritual nourknow thyself 1

ishment we cannot live up to full potential. Like the

Corinthians we would not be strong enough to understand
our relations and even ourselves. (I Cor.3.1f)
Sanctification is neither instant nor mystical; it is practical
life long process. Paul exhorts Timothy, Take time and
trouble to keep yourself spiritually fit. (I Tim.4.7) Spiritual fitness is simply a matter of learning certain spiritual
exercises and being disciplined to do them until they become habits. Character is shaped by the habits we develop. People recognize us and remember us not by our
knowledge, but by our wisdom. James therefore writes
that deeds are important than faith. Behaviour reveals the
belief; Character reveals the creed and doings reveal the
doctrine. People remember us more by our character than
by our skill.
As human beings we have been gifted four components
thinking, feeling, choosing and doing. Character is choosing to do something following our natural inclinations (feelings) but in Gods way (thinking). In the decision making if
any one of these components is missing then we do not
know self and we are not complete. Benjamin Franklin
says that we can only experience true success and happiness by making character the bedrock of our lives. Samuel
Smiles observed - Sow a thought and you reap an act;
Sow an act and you reap a habit; Sow a habit and you
reap a character; Sow a character and you reap a destiny.
The destiny of man is to become like Christ. Christ likeness is all about transforming our character. Unless we
know this purpose for our life we will be frustrated by the
circumstances. When we know that we are made to have
this destiny we cooperate with the Holy Spirit inspite of
difficulties.

COURSE TO KNOW THYSELF

Know God to know thyself
The search for the meaning of life has puzzled people for
thousands of years. Thats because we typically begin at
the starting point ourselves. We ask self-centered questions like - Who am I? What do I want to be? What should
I do with my life? Obsession with self in these matters is
a dead end; attention to God leads us into the open, into
a spacious free life Rom.8.6 Message;
Unless you assume a God, the question of lifes purpose
and meaning is meaningless, says Bertrand Russell. The
easiest of way to discover the meaning and purpose of an
invention is to ask the creator of it. You were made by God
and for God and until you understand that, life will never
make sense. God is not just the starting point of your life;
he is the source of it. To discover the meaning and purpose of life you must turn to Gods word, not the worlds
wisdom. You must build your life on eternal truths, not
pop psychology, success-motivation, or inspirational stories. The Bible says (Message), Its in Christ that we find
out who we are and we are living for. Long before we first
heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on
us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall
purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.
Eph.1.11
Thyself unique creation for unique purpose
The intended function always determines the form of the
building. Before God created you, he decided what role he
wanted you to play on earth. You are the way you are
because you were made for a specific ministry. You are
not an assembly-line product, mass-produced without
though. You are a custom-designed, one-of a-kind, origi-

nal masterpiece. Ethel Waters said, God doesnt make

junk. God never wastes the abilities, interests, talents,
gifts, personality (139.13-15) and the experiences (16)
unless he intended to use them for his glory.
There lies a sleeping giant. If it ever wakes up, it will be
unstoppable. (Napoleon on Chine); God expects that every Christian to use his her gifts and talents in ministry. If
we ever awaken and unleash the massive talent, resources,
creativity and energy lying dormant in the typical local
church, Christianity will explode with growth at an unprecedented rate. God designed each one of us so there would
be no duplication in the world. No one has the exact same
mix of factors that make you unique. That means no one
else on earth will ever be able to play the role God planned
for you. If you dont make your unique contribution to the
body of Christ, it wont be made. We are unique because
of unique combination of different factors. Rick Warren,
Senior Pastor of Saddleback Valley Community church has
created a simple acrostic: SHAPE, to remember these five
factors Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and
Experiences.
Yourself & Your Purpose Expression of SHAPE:
Wise stewardship of your life begins by understanding your
shape. Your ministry is determined by your makeup. When
your gifts do not match the role you play in life, you feel
like a square peg in a round hole. This is frustrating both
to you and to others. Not only does it produce limited
results, it is also enormous waste of your talents, time and
energy.
God is consistent in his plan for our lives. He would not
give each of us inborn abilities, temperaments, talents,
spiritual gifts and life experiences and then not use them!
By identifying and understanding the SHAPE factors, we
can discover Gods will for our lives the unique way he
intends for each of us to serve him. When it comes to
ministry, your functions flows out of the way God formed
you. God has been molding and shaping you for ministry
since you were born. In fact, God began shaping you before you were born. Ps.139.13-16; We are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which
God prepared in advance for us to do. Ep.2.10

COMPONENTS OF KNOWING SELF

Unwrapping your spiritual gifts

Definitions:
Every human being by virtue of being made in the image
of God possesses certain natural talents. Spiritual gifts are
those that are specially bestowed upon by the Spirit of
God at the new birth.
A spiritual gift is a special attribute given by the Holy
Spirit to every member of the Body of Christ, according to Gods grace, for use within the context of the
body. Peter Wagner
A spiritual gift is a grace provided ability to fulfill a specific
function of promoting divine truth in the devils world.
I Cor 12.1 Spiritual - pneumatikos: a spiritual thing;
things characterized or controlled by the Spirit.
1 Cor 12.4 Gift - charisma: a freely bestowed gift;
Gifts are of Gods grace. All gifts are charismatic gift
of God. The believer does not earn it or work for it.
(Rm. 12:6; 1 Pet. 4:10)
Putting together all these terms, we find that a spiritual
gift is a God-given ability to serve the church effectively.
God has graciously, undeservedly equipped each of us with
know thyself 2

the ability to minister to others within the body of Christ. A

spiritual gift, then, more than being a possession, is a channel through which the Holy Spirit ministers to His church.
This is the means He has chosen to edify the Church.
God gives every believer spiritual gifts to be used in
ministry. Rom.12.4-8, 1 Cor 12, Eph.4.8-15, I Cor 7.7;
whoever does not have the Spirit cannot receive the
gifts that come form Gods Spirit. I Cor2.14;
All the believers have atleast one gift.
It is God the Spirit who determines the gift/gifts one
should have. I Cor.12.11;
No single gift is given to everyone. I Cor.12.29-30 God loves variety;
No individual receives all the gifts - we are taught to
love and depend on one another.
A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of
helping the entire church. I Cor.12.7. By not using the
gifts God has given us we are cheating others therefore discovering and developing spiritual gift is essential.
Regarding Spiritual gifts there are two common problems.
Gift-Envy: We compare our gifts with others, feel dissatisfied with what God gave us, and become resentful
or jealous of how God uses others.
Gift-protection: We expect everyone else to have our
gifts, do what we are called to do, and feel as passionate about it as we do.

Five steps to discover your gifts

Explore the possibilities
Know what are the gifts Study the Bible, Read books
on spiritual gifts, Know and observe the gifted people,

Experiment with Gifts

You discover a spiritual gift just like you discovered
your natural talent. Ray Stedman
Look for the needs, Accept the invitation with prayer
and boldness unless you are sure are not gifted in that
area.

Examine your feelings

Because the same God who made us gives the spiritual gifts He gives us the temperaments in such a
way that if we really have a gift we will really a gift we
will feel good (no guilt) using it. Ps.37.4; Phil.2.13

Evaluate your Effectiveness

Gifts are task oriented. God has given you a gift; He
has done so because He wants you to accomplish something for Him in the context of the Body of Christ. Gifted
people get results. Postulating that God wants us to be
successful is not contradictory to sincere Christian humility.
Evangelist people will come to Christ regularly
Teacher people will be exhorted and problems
solved
Healing people will be healed
Administration Organisation will run smoothly, subordinated will be motivated to minister

Expect confirmation from the body

Spiritual gifts need to be confirmed. You may have
desires, feelings some time can go wrong. The gifts
are given for use within the context of the Body. It is
necessary, then, that other members of the Body have

an important say in confirming your gifts. Confirmation builds in a system of accountability for the use of
gifts.
Some believe that some gifts were temporary like
Apostleship, Prophecy that were essential for the Revelation of God, which is now, complete.
The permanent gifts are those, which are in operation today building Gods kingdom (Heb 2.4 and Equipping saints
to service, edification and evangelism (Ep.4.12)
Listening to your Heart:
As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the
person. Prov.27.19; Your heart is the real you what you
truly are, not what others think you are or what circumstances force you to be.
We are called to serve the Lord with all our heart.
Duet.11.13, I Sam12: 20, Rom 1:9 Eph 6:6. Our service
should come out of passion rather than duty. God wants
you to use your natural interests to serve him and others.
Listening for inner promptings can point to the ministry
God intends for you to have. How do know my heart?
Sign #1 Enthusiasm: When you are doing what you
love to do, no one has to motivate you or challenge
you or check up on you. You do it for the sheer enjoyment. You dont need rewards or applause or payment,
because you love serving in this way.
Sign #2 Effectiveness: Passion drives perfection. Please
dont waste your life in a job that doesnt express your
heart. Meaning is far more important than money.
Solomon the richest and the wisest said, A simple life
in the fear-of God is better than a rich life with a ton
of headaches. Prov15.16. Figure out what you love to
do what God gave you a heart to do and then do it
for his glory.
Applying your abilities:
Abilities are the natural talents that you were born with Words, Athletics, and Mathematics so on. Exodus 31.3 gives
an example of how God gives people skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts in order to accomplish his purposes. Even some are given the ability to produce wealth.
Duet 8.18;
One of the most common excuses people give for getting
involved in ministry is that they just dont have any abilities to offer. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We
have lots of resources untapped, unrecognized and unused. Brain can store 100 trillion facts, Mind can handle
15,000 decisions a second (as the digestive system works),
Nose can smell 10,000 different odors, Tongue can detect
on one part of a quinine in 2 million parts of water, Touch
can detect an item 1/25,000th of an inch thick. All abilities
can be used for Gods glory. With the abilities you have
there are some roles only you can play. God given abilities
are not just to make a life but for your ministry. God has
given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use
them to help each other, passing on to others Gods many
kinds of blessings. I Pet 4.10.
Using your personality:
When God made you he has given you a DNA code that is
unique. There never has been, and never will be, anybody
exactly like you.

Definitions
Temperament: Temperament is the combination of inborn traits that subconsciously affects mans behaviour.
These traits are arranged genetically on the basis of naknow thyself 3

tionality, race, sex and other hereditary factors. The genes

pass on these traits. (More from grandparents then parents). Temperament sets broad guidelines on everyones
behaviour patterns that will influence a person as long
as he lives. On one side are his strengths, on the other his
weaknesses. The primary advantage to learning about the
four basic temperaments is to discover our most pronounced strengths and weaknesses so that with God the
Spirits help we can overcome the weaknesses and take
advantage of the strengths. In this way we can fulfill our
personal destiny to the maximum.
Temperament, which is passed on through the genes, was
no doubt influenced by the Adamic fall. That is why we all
identify with the desire to do good while at the same time
possessing an impulse to pursue evil. (Pauls struggles as
explained in Rom. 7) Paul differentiated between himself
and that uncontrollable force within him by asserting, It
is no longer I who do it, but the sin that dwells in me. The
I in Pauls person is the soul, will and mind of man. The
sin that dwelt in him was the human nature that he like
all beings, inherited from his parents. Part of that human
nature was his temperament. In his case, he was a choleric-melancholy. And while the Holy Spirit made many
improvements on his life, his strong-willed, determined
brilliance was apparent all through his life.
Character: Character is the real you. The Bible refers to
it as the hidden man of the heart. It is the result of your
natural temperament modified by childhood training, education, basic attitudes, beliefs, principles and motivations.
It is sometimes referred to as the soul of man, which is
made up of the mind, emotions and will.

ous, Domineering, Unforgiving, Hostile & volatile; Sarcastic & cruel; Impatient, Unsympathetic, and Opinionated.
Spirit Modified: Strong willpower, directed by Holy Spirit
towards Eternal goals, make him very productive and effective leader. His love for people and a genuine compassion will be seen apparently. He enjoys the peace of God
and learns to wait upon the Lord rather than rushing do
basing on intuitions. The important characters that will be
seen newly are gentleness, goodness, long-suffering and
meekness. Apostle Paul is best Spirit-filled Choleric. Acts 8
and 9 reveal the man on fire to kill the disciples of Jesus
Christ but after conversion this man so dynamically transformed.

3. MELONCHOLY: (Apostle John)

Strengths: Gifted, analytical, Perfectionist, Self-disciplined,
Industrious, Self-sacrificing, Aesthetic, Creative, Sensitive,
and Loyal and faithful.
Weaknesses: Moody, Deeply emotional, Easily offended,
Pessimistic, Negative, Critical and picky, Theoretical and
impractical, Suspicious and revengeful, self-centered and
Indecisive.
Spirit Modified: His rich, sensitive nature will be earnestly
attuned to the heart needs of humanity. His analytical perfectionism will be needed in neglected places. He now
enjoys the peace and joy from the Word of God and the
Spirit of God. Apostle Thomas whose name to the whole
world means doubt after being filled by the Holy Spirit
presented Christ to most difficult and distant country, India.

4. PHLEGMATIC: (Abraham)

Personality: Personality is the outward expression of

ourselves, which may or may not be the same as our character, depending on how genuine we are.

Strengths: Calm, Cool, Easy going, Diplomatic, Dependable, Objective, Efficient, Orderly, Practical, Humorous, and
Agreeable.

Temperament is the combination of traits we were born

with; character is our civilized temperament; and personality is the face we show to others.

Weaknesses: Passive & unmotivated, Subject to procrastination, Indecisive, Fearful and filled with worry, Unsure,
Self-protective, Stubborn, Selfish, Stingy, and Slow & lazy.

The four basic Temperaments

Spirit Modified: Some say that unsaved Phlegmatic often

act more like Christians. Spirit filled Phlegmatic will be calm,
easy going, inside also. He will overcome stubbornness,
fear, indifference, and lack of motivation. He will come out
of the shell of self-protection and give himself more vigorously in the service of Christ. Abraham is the Spirit-filled
Phlegmatic. Most of his life was dominated by fear that he
denied that Sarah was his wife. This cowardly man was
transformed so much by the gift of faith.

1. SANGUINE: (Apostle Peter)

Strengths: Warm emotionally, Friendly, Fun loving, Outgoing-Extrovertish, Enthusiastic, Talkative, Compassionate,
Responsive, Stimulating, and Ambitious.
Weaknesses: Lacking in discipline, Weak-willed, Egotistical, Emotionally excitable, Unstable, Prone to Exaggerate,
Hot-tempered, Disorganised, Manipulative, Restless.
Spirit Modified: Will continue to be extrovert, energetic,
infectious and compassionate but his talk now will be purposeful, jokes will lighten the trouble hearted with his
wholesome humour and so on; With the help of the Holy
Spirit he will become consistent, organized, dependable
and will plan his life. His newfound peace and self-control
will help control his fiery temper. His egotism is replaced
by meekness. Thus the humility will make new friends for
him and since he is extravert his faith will be contagious.
Apostle Peter is the good example of spirit filled Sanguine.
After Pentecost used his lips to preach Jesus Christ. His
life was consistent and the conduct before the Sanhedrin
shows the humility and meekness which were foreign before.

2. CHOLERIC: (Apostle Paul)

Strengths: Strong-willed, Determined, Independent, Decisive, Active and energetic, Practical, Strong natural leader,
Optimistic and confident, Productive, and Goal Oriented.
Weaknesses Unemotional & cold; Self-sufficient, Impetu-

The basic purposes in giving this temperament study is

that we might examine both our strengths and weaknesses
and go to the Holy Spirit for His filling and have His Strength
for our weaknesses. Dr. Henry Brandt has defined a mature person as one who is sufficiently objective about himself to have examined both his strengths and his weaknesses and has a planned programme for overcoming his
weaknesses.
Strengthening your temperament
God has granted to every person certain talents and
strengths at conception. This would include his temperament, IQ, body type, appearances, and other characteristics. Since we are all members of the Adamic race, it follows that because of the fall we also inherit deficiencies,
often labeled temperament weaknesses; birth defects,
predispositions, etc. The whole person, of course, is not
just temperament or physical makeup, but both of these,
together with the other influences including the will, selfdiscipline, and religious or spiritual commitment- create
know thyself 4

the composite person, a unique blend of strengths and

weaknesses.
One of the biggest misconceptions in the Christian world
is that the changed life of the believer is automatic as
though a person who called upon the name of the Lord
would instantaneously undergo a metamorphosis. The Spirit
of God, the Word of God and Church of God are the potential for change. When we use the resources of God we will
become strong enough to effect temperament change.
Spiritual maturity is the positive response to the Godly resources provided to and in us. Transformation is the power
of Cross experienced in the Child of God, through the Spirit
of God as revealed in the Word of God
Employing your experiences:
God never wastes an experience. We know that in all things
God works for the good of those who love him, who have
been called according to his purpose. Rom 8.28; Educational, Vocational, Spiritual, Ministerial, Personal all of them
are used by God. If Paul had kept his experience of doubt
and depression a secret, millions of people would never
have benefited from it. Aldous Huxley said, Experience is
not what happens to you. It is what you do with what
happens to you. For God to use your painful experiences,
you must be willing to share them.

CONSTRUCTING THYSELF
Accept and enjoy your shape:
Nobody is good at everything; and no one is called to be
everything. We all have defined roles. Paul realized that
his role to preach the gospel to the gentiles and that of
Peter is to Jews. Be sure to do what you should, for then
you will enjoy the personal satisfaction of having done
your work well, and you wont need to compare yourself
to anyone else. Gal 6.4
Comparing your ministry with others and conforming your
ministry to the expectations of others are the deadly traps.
Why you should not compare? You will find someone doing better and will be discouraged. Or you will find someone who is not that effective and you have pride. In all
this comparing and grading and competing, they quite miss
the point. 2 Cor 10.12
One of the reasons Paul was used so greatly by God was
that he refused to be distracted by criticism or by comparing his ministry with others or by being drawn into fruitless debates about his ministry. If my life is fruitless, it
doesnt matter who praises me, and if my life is fruitful, it
doesnt matter who criticizes me John Bunyan
Keep developing your shape:
We are to cultivate our gifts and abilities, keep our hearts
flame, grow our character and personality, and broaden
our experiences so will be increasingly more effective in
our service. Paul told Philipians, Keep on growing in your
knowledge and understanding Phil. 1.9 Kindle afresh the
gift of God, which is in you 2 Tim 1.6 If you fail to use
what youve been given and youll lose it. Mat 25.28 Whatever gift you have been given can be enlarged and developed through practice.

fect, ordinary people to do extraordinary things in spite of

their weaknesses. If God only used perfect people, nothing would have been done. A weakness or thorn as Paul
called it is not sin or a vice or a character defect that you
can change. A weakness is any limitation that you inherited or have no power to change. We are like clay jars in
which this treasure is stored. The real power comes from
God and not from us.2 Cor 4.7 God will use us inspite of
our weaknesses if we allow Him.
1.Admit your weakness: Be honest and do not pretend. If you want God to use you, you must know who
God is and know who you are. Instead of living in denial or
making excuses, take the time to identify your personal
weaknesses. You might make a list of them.
2. Be content with your weaknesses: I am glad to
boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ
may work through me. Since I know it is all for Christs
good, I am quite content with my weaknesses. 2 Cor 12.910
#1 They cause us to depend on God
#2 They keep us humble.
#3 Encourage fellowship between believers.
3. Honestly share your weaknesses: Paul shared his
Failures Rom7.19; Feelings 2 Cor 6.11; Frustrations 2 Cor
1.8; Fears 1 Cor 2.3;

CONCLUSION
What you are is Gods gift to you; what you do with yourself is your gift to God. Danish Proverb; The experience of
becoming more aware of the various facets of ME is as
mysteriously rewarding and as curiosity provoking as the
experience of being blind and suddenly receiving sight.
James Kilgore; As we discover self, let us invest it for Gods
glory. As Os Guinness says, The truth is not that God is
finding us a place for our gifts but that God has created us
and our gifts for a place of His choosing and we will only
be ourselves when we are there. Let the goal of our life be
the smile of our God when we go there as he says, you
are good and faithful servant.
