Gather Us In

INVITATION TO COMMUNION
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
One: God we confess that sometimes we wander from your presence - We drown
out your voice by distracting ourselves with other voices. We flee from the ways
that you ask us to serve you and your people. We are afraid to love as you have
called us to love.
All: Forgive us, God of compassion and grace.
One: God we confess that sometimes we fail to share your love with the world We turn our backs on your call to care for our brothers and sisters. We neglect
to share the blessings that we have received. We ignore the cries of the lost, the
oppressed and of those who live in fear.
All: Forgive us, God of compassion and grace.
One: God we confess that sometimes we are slow to be transformed by your grace
- We find it difficult to forgive others. We are unable to forgive ourselves. We are
scared to place our whole selves into your hands.
All: Forgive us, God of compassion. Extend your grace once again, so that we
can share that grace with others. Help us to accept your love so that we can be
extensions of that love. Call our names once again as we offer all that we are to
you. Amen.

THE LORDS PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
