Coordination & direction of the company & Clients Safety programme for
the prevention of injury to personnel, damage to plant and equipment.
Carry out site surveys to see that only safe working methods are in operation
that health and Safety requirements are being observed and welfare and first
aid facilities are adequate and properly maintained.
Foster within the company and understanding that injury prevention and
damage control are an integral part of business and operational efficiency.
Conducting safety training for all construction personnel in safe working
practices.
Ensure that all new employees were given job orientation training on initial
posting and are made awareness of the hazards pertinent to their work.
Create safety awareness by promoting safety meetings, presentations, and
open forum discussions and by implementing safety training.
Well familiar with work permit system to procedures.
Inspect the work site daily to report and correct unsafe methods and
conditions.
Visit all work sites on a regular basis and its safety performance and conduct
safety meeting to review any deficiencies found.
Keep a permanent record of all injuries, fires, motor vehicle accidents,
property damage and crane/heavy equipment accidents which have occurred
at the site.
Conducting weekly/monthly safety meetings to reduce hazards by promoting
safety awareness among all levels of personnel through discussions and
presenting such Minutes of Meetings to client.
Ensure that all equipments, power tools and hand tools are in good condition,
guarded and quipped with safety devices.
Attend job progress meetings where safety is an item on the agenda. Report
on job safety performance.

Make sure that suitable personal protective equipments are available and
that they are used.
