Streaming Setup Guide

VLC Media Player
1. Presetting

- Installing VLC Player

- Download from - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
2. IP Address

- Finding the IP address on your PC

- Start > Program > Accessory > Command Prompt

- Type in ipconfig to find your IP address

3. On the camera menu select [Main Menu]

> [System..]

4. Change [Network] to On(SDI Off). Then

Select [Settings...]

5. Select [Live Streaming Set...]

6. Set [Resolution] and [Frame & Bit Rate]

6.1 Settable Resolution during Streaming to

No. of Frames

7. Set [Type] to MPEG2-TS/UDP

8. Select [Destination Address] and type in

the address of your PC

9. Set [Destination Port] and set to 6504 as

standard setting

10. Execute VLC media player on your PC

- Open [Media] and select [Open Network
System...]

11. Enter a network URL as: udp://@:xxxx

- xxxx = Enter port number

- Click Play

- Note: Make sure you type the colon :

12. Turn [Live Straming] to ON

13. The Picture and Audio may be distorted

due to network conditions

- If so, lower the resolution and/or frame and bit
rate

Teradek Decoder
There are four different model, as follows:

HD-SDI Out
HDMI Out

Wi-Fi/Ethernet
Cube 355
Cube 455

Ethernet Only
Cube 305
Cube 405

The GY-HM650E demo with Teradek Cube 305 decoder.

Three possible configurations:

Pre-setting
1. Instal TeraCentral to your PC for setup.

- Download from: http://www.teradek.com/pages/downloads

2. Connect your PC and Teradek decor with network (wired/wireless). You can

3. Turn the power of the Teradek decoder ON

4. Open Browser on your PC

- Note: Internet Explorer requires IE9 or higher

Set-up Decoder by Tera-Central

1. Open TeraCentral
2. Click Configure Settings
3. Login using admin as the password

- Note: admin should be in lower caps

4. Click Video Setup > Decoder Settings. Set Parameters as follows:

- Decoder Setting: MPEG Transport Stream

- MPEG Transport Stream Settings:

- Protocol: TCP or UDP

- Port: 6504

- Audio Codec: AAC

- Others settings should be kept as default

- Click Apply when finished

Note: The streaming may delay more when the Jitter Buffering is enabled. However some picture quality
may be losed if set to Disable. This depends on bandwidth. s

4. Click Network > Configuration

Wired Connection

- Click Wireless and ensure Wireless Mode is disabled

- If not click Disable and Apply

- Click Wired

- Setup Parameters according:

- Destination Address = IP address set up earlier

Note: When the above settings are completed the decoder settings will become invisible from the PC. If you
need to access them, do the following:

- Close the browser and TeraCentral

- Change IP address setting on your PC
- Open TeraCentral
- Click Configure Setting when decoder is found
- When browser is opened automatically enter Username and Password to Login

Wireless Connection

- Click Wireless tab

- Set mode to Infrastructure (Slave) and click Apply

- When below screen appears, click Scan For Wireless Networks and select your network

- Select Security Mode and enter password

- Click Apply

5. GY-HM650 Setup

- Follow points 3 - 9 under VLC Media Player

- Point 7 should be set the same as MPEG Transport Settings on the Teradek Decoder
