Balls and
cones

Activity: Teamwork Relay Race. In the gym. Make sure

no rough housing occurs and only positive cheering.

Possible Modifications: If too easy, add in more steps

(must spin around every cone). If too hard take out
cones. If boring then every time they pass a cone they
must high five their partner with both hands, while
keeping ball in place.
Lesson Review: Once a team has won, have everyone
clap for a good job done. Have students place the ball
on the ground and walk over to the green line. Say you
saw a lot of communication among the teams as well as
problem solving. Ask students what 3 things were that
they did to work with their teammates and some
strategies that you found helpful.

Notes: Dont say you guys, loud voice! BTW, positive encouragement!
